1. A preacher and his wife are very, very poor. They already have 14 kids. Now she finds out she’s pregnant with the 15th. They’re living in tremendous poverty. Considering their poverty and the excessive world population, would you consider recommending she get an abortion?

2. The father is always sick, the mother has TB. Of their four children, the first is blind, the second has died, the third is deaf, the fourth has TB. She finds she’s pregnant again. Given this extreme situation, would you consider recommending abortion?

3. A white man raped a 13-year-old black girl and she’s now pregnant. If you were her parents, would you consider recommending abortion?

4. A teenage girl is pregnant. She’s not married. Her fiancé is not the father of the baby, and he’s very upset. Would you recommend abortion?

Did you say YES to any of these ? If you did ~ In the first case, you would have killed John Wesley, one of the great evangelists in the 19th century. In the second case, you would have killed Beethoven. In the third case, you would have killed Ethel Waters, the great black gospel singer. If you said yes to the fourth case, you would have declared the murder of Jesus Christ!
God is the author of life, and He has givenevery single individual supreme value. Each life—whether inside or outside the womb—should therefore be valued by us. God knows the plans He has for each individual and has written in His book all the days ordained for us before one of them came to be. When we presume to know better than God who should be given life, we are putting ourselves in the place of God and are guilty of idolatry.

I guess it was the tacos...

anyway,
It seems like people have gotten to the point of relying on a small group of people to come up with good, thought-provoking questions here.

There'll always be the Jim Darwins of the world who are particularly good at this, but...

... how about everyone try to come up with their own good question that really digs deep or strikes at the heart of some question?

Ask a question about what's been bugging YOU lately.
Maybe about how your beliefs are misunderstood, or what you don't understand about the beliefs of others?

I have read many bible type questions and it seems to me that many people think the bible should be literal and others belive that there are metaphorical stories or teachings. They cannot both be right, nor can you dip in and choose bits you like and effectively read in or make up a completely new context somewhere else to prove a point. It is either literal or not - which is it?.

You know.. like some buddhists might find reincarnation difficult to believe... or others might worry about how cruelty is allowed to happen....

I'm not having a go at anyone here. Just trying to see what obstacles people overcome to accept their chosen doctrine.

One of Gods greatest traits. Man i love Jesus

John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven.

Jesus said here that hes in heaven while he was on earth, so how do you say that Jesus is not God?

Galatians 6:7-9
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

i have lived in this house for ten years now. and so many things have happened.i have been in bed and the kettle boils by itself, i have been woken up to the tv on loud as ever downstairs, when i went to investigate, every light was on, and door open, and curtains open also.i have woke to see a figure of a man stood at the side of me, with a large rimmed hat on! i have seen countless orbs, and the really strong unexplainable flowery smells come and go.the other day i was looking for my sons trousers, i knew id threw them on a wash pile, and day after they was in kitchen cupboard folded neatly.i experiance feelings when im goin to sleep like getting pinned to the bed, and i cant move, scream or nothin.my friends who have stopped over have experianced this too.and i didnt even mention that to them, nobody will stop now!i have had a vicar come and bless my home, and nothing happened, i dont want to move home!i cant sleep at nights, soes anybody know what i can do??

I'm sure that if you've been in the Religion & Sprirtuality section for more than five minutes here on Yahoo! Answers, you've noticed that we have a large group of non-Believers, atheists, agnostics, etc.

I'm a Christian Seventh-Day Adventist. I want to know:
1. What's keeping you from becoming a non-Believer?
2. Are you happy with the religion you're in?
3. How is your faith?
4. How did you become a [Christian, Jew, Muslim, etc.] in the first place?
5. In general, why do you believe?

Anyone who answers each question in detail, and in the same format I asked them in [1., 2., 3., etc.], gets "Best Answer."
