I'm 16 and I am a very open minded person but i've had a hard time accepting the existence of a hell or heaven because I haven't exactly been following a religion and I probably wouldn't get into heaven by the standards of the 3 monothiestic religions. I also don't want to accept that there is nothing there in the afterlife because that would make life rather pointless. I want there to be something there but at the same time i'm scared that if there is, it won't exactly benefit me.

Was it part of their agenda to drive wedge between christian and muslim especially for christian to hate muslim as much as they can? What's with islam that these terrorists prefer over christian or any other religion- it may have been "christian terrorists", "Hindu's terrorists" or "Buddhist terrorists".

Alright so here's my question, God is perfect according to christians right? And the god of the old testament is the same as the god of the new, right? Then why does Jesus come to fulfill the laws of moses, why would god change his mind if he was perfect?

If so, did you stone them to death?

06 If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, "Let us go and worship other gods" (gods that neither you nor your fathers have known,
07 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other),
08 do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity. Do not spare him or shield him.
09 You must certainly put him to death. Your hand must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the people.
10 Stone him to death, because he tried to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
11 Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and no one among you will do such an evil thing again. - Deuteronomy 13:6-11

Unless I'm just reading this wrong.

After the flood, in Genesis 9:3, God gives Noah and his sons permission to eat any animals or bird as long as the blood is not left, but in Leviticus 11, God gives Moses and Aaron very detailed instructions on what is clean to eat, and what is unclean. Why the distinct difference?
- I'm not looking for responses from angry Christians, I'm a Christian myself, I'm just curious.

I refer to my erlier question, included below. I recieved six answers, most from non Christians.

Why are revealed religions based on fear of loss, or hope of gain?
It is rather interesting that revealed religions in general work on the premise that if one holds certain beliefs; one is rewarded with a promise of some theological place of eternal bliss. If one does not subscribe to this certain believe system, one is doomed to a theological place of eternal punishment.

Since nothing else in this reality simply works on a believe system, e.g. believing you can fly doesn’t work well if you jump from a 200 ft. cliff. Thinking that you are bullet proof will most likely get you killed. In reality there is cause and effect, no matter how obscure. “The kingdom was lost for want of a nail.”

Why is it, that the so called truth, directly from God, operates very much like a believe in Santa Claus? If Tommy is good, he will be rewarded with gifts.

ok, we all know that there are many denominations of new testament churches. and i know that many of these different denomination have churches within them that try to teach the bible as best they can. as long as a church teaches salvation through jesus then it has hit the minimum requirements. but what i want to know is does a church need the hand of fellowship from a true church in order to be a true church. and by true church i mean the bride of christ, the church that jesus set up. without the consent of jesus' church, is it ok for someone to just start a church simply because they dont agree with what another church teaches?
basicly does the bride of christ consist of any new testament church or is it only the church that he set up and those that have been started with his original church's permission?

The Nephilim were marrying the daughters of men and having children by them. I know that the Nephilim were giants, they are also referenced in Numbers and 1samuel, but does anybody have any ideas about who these people were? I've heard theories that the Nephilim were the 1/3 of the angels that fell, but I'm not buying the idea that they were reproducing. Anyways, what do you guys and gals think?
