Why the terrorist's favorite religious weapon is Islam?

Was it part of their agenda to drive wedge between christian and muslim especially for christian to hate muslim as much as they can? What's with islam that these terrorists prefer over christian or any other religion- it may have been "christian terrorists", "Hindu's terrorists" or "Buddhist terrorists".

It is Moslem terrorism for several very good reasons. Firstly, the Christian West has advanced economically, politically, culturally, technologically, etc., etc. far beyond the Moslem countries. They will tend to view this as a kind of cheating, since the West is full of "infidels". Secondly, Islam is the second largest religion in the world, approx. 19% of the total world population, and it is natural that they will resent the Christian world, which accounts for approximately 29%; they are ambitious. Thirdly, and very importantly, the founder of the religion, Muhammad, was (as we usually understand the term) totalitarian. Muhammad believed in the unity of religion and politics (he died about 1,100 years before the concept of "separation of church and state" arrived historically). Also, Muhammad was many things, among them, a soldier. He himself killed many people. He believed in killing and conquest. He taught killing and conquest. They're not making this stuff up! "Jihad" is a concept begun with Muhammad himself.
By the way, "the terrorists favorite weapon" is not religion, but violence.

As you and others point out, terrorists are terrorist in any form they come. But none the less, Christianity was not borne from terrorist and has no part of Christianity. Although I am not a Muslim or truly understand Islam, I do understand that from its departure from Judaism, their prophet Mohammad was an advocate of war as is their religion an advocate of either conforming all to Islam or kill the infidel. I do not recall many other religions who are helping others understand their faith, such as Buddhist, or Hindu, Taoist, or Judaism, etc to ever react or recruit in this sort of way. This cautions me when I look into Islam and to wonder if it could be from the Devils way of thinking. After all, isn't God=to love and the Devil = to hate? In any form it comes......

its kinda funny to think abt "Buddhist terrorists", But anyways the reason for Muslim Terrorist is quite Simple.
Viewing the volatile nature of the Conflicting civilizations (Islamic & Western), some ppl for their own personal gains, exploits this situation for their worldly benefits. Their Primary aim is to bring chaos in this world, so that they become more & more powerful. 'Divide & Rule' seems to be their dogma for become the might in this world, Since the majority of ppl in the World are either Westeners (Christians Mostly), and Islamic (Muslims Obviously) and they make up for 3/5 of the world Population (2.1bn+1.6bn out of 6bn), so by engaging the two in war against each other, and makin' them weak, that 3rd party wants to become the single might in this world, which is at the moment in quite minority, but this 3rd party has infiltrated deep everywhere, and is running america (well behind the scenes). well, if u r smart enough, u'd have realized by now whom i m talking abt, So no need to take name. First & foremost, this "religious" terrorists have to fing justification for their acts. What better way to convince themselves than to belief in that because they are acting upon the "Word of God", they are therefore religious warriors & matyrs?

Secondly, Muslims are close knit people & would watch out for one another in time of trouble. By appealing to these people's piety, they are drawing popularity & suppot from the masses.

Not to insult any religion - the truth is we all have pride, be it in terms of nationalism, religion, racialism, etc & everyone of us at times listen only to what we want to hear or see only what we want to see.

The only way to render religion ineffective as a weapon of terrorist is for everyone to really open their eyes & question the so called religious leaders who are at best manipulative politicians/demagogues
