To sell more books,???,,the copyright laws back in those days was something fierce.
To mess with our minds???? God has always been known for a weird sense of humor.
To make more movies??? The old slash and burn, fire and brimstone plots were getting lame.
To sell more jewelry??? That "cross" idea was a money maker....less material and workmanship than a Star of David...fewer workman comp hours lost..
Take your pick

Jesus came to fulfil that law of Moses not do away with the law. God did not change his mind. God was perfect in all his ways. God will be the same forever. Futhermore Moses has no blood sacrifice but Jesus did. When Jesus ascended unto heaven it was fulfilled that the holy spirit would come unto all of us. To all of us is dealth a measure of faith and therefore God's will was done.

This question doesn't fully make sence. But God does not change his mind. And yes Jesus does come to fullfill the law(s) of Moses. God is the God of the Old Testament. And God's son Jesus is who they are talking about in the New Testament. And yes God is 100% Perfect according to the Christians.

I am not really sure what you meant. The Bible is telling the same story from beginning to end. The story never changes. And the plan God lays out in the book is ONE plan, and the same from beginning to end. Creation, fall of man (which is all in the first book), and from that point on, the redemption of man...through the Christ. There was never any other plan. Throughout the entirety, the old law (old testament, law of moses etc.) speaks of the Christ who will redeem man. The New law (New testament, testament of Christ etc.) brings about the one who was prophesied of and spoken of in the old law- he is the fulfillment of all of those prophesies written of in the old testament. John 1:1 says he was there in the beginning, during creation. It even says in verse 10: "He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not." And in Ephesians 3:9
"And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:"
Luke 24:44-47
44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
John 15:24-25
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
Romans 8:4
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
There was no change...still isn't.

God being perfect doesn't change. However his dealings with mankind as his plan for restoration of the broken relationship that occurred when sin came into this world do change. The Bible is the unfolding story of God's revelation of Himself and his dealings with mankind. In the Old Testament there are many types and figures of the Christ who was to come. The sacrificial system given to the Jewish people was pointing to the perfect sacrifice of Christ. Not being God, I cannot give a full and comprehensive explanation of why He has chosen to work out his plan over thousands of years in the manner that He has. I could make some intelligent guesses based upon my knowledge of the Bible but I wouldn't put them forth as anything more than ideas to be considered.

John S,
Erase this question. You have structure and clairity issues.
Let me see, hmmmm.
"Alright so here's my question, God is perfect according to
Christians right? And the God of the Old Testament is the same
as the God of the New Testament, right? Then why does Jesus
come to fulfill the laws of Moses, why would God change his
mind if he was perfect?"
Okay, I was trying to understand it. It's impossible. When did God supposedly change Hid mind? I think that you don't know something really basic, but your question is so disconnected, I don't know what you are talking about.

In all fairness, the idea of 'fulfilling away' the Old Testament is a heresy dating to about the mid 2nd century. The original concept of the word 'fulfill' in regards to Jesus and the law, is not that he made it go away, but that he fulfilled the Messianic prophecies. That's why he is also attributed with saying he did not come to destroy any part of the law.
But it's all just a bunch of BS anyway, so don't take it too seriously beyond historical analysis.

Jesus came to fulfill the law because the law demanded a perfect sacrifice to make up for our sins. Jesus came to take the place of us having to pay for all of our sins for eternity. God didn't change His mind, Jesus was part of the plan. He provided a way for us to have a relationship with God.

Your question doesnt entirely make sense to me; but man was (and still is) very sinful and the penalty for sin is death. So God decided to send someone that would be an example to everybody that living a sin-free life is possible and to be a reedemer so that those that accept the Son of God as Lord and master would be saved; and that person of course was JESUS CHRIST!

Son (Jesus)

God is tri or more commonly called trinity. He has three parts, but He's one god. Like any other peice of equipment, it generally has several or many parts but it's still one peice.
John 3:16-For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God is God. He can do what He wants. He is all powerful.
I believe that when God came to us as Jesus he learned more about us. As well we learned about Him.
I believe God learned after razing Sodom and Noah's 40 days of flooding. Isn't this the idea of the rainbow?
I think God changes.
God's attitude in the Old Testament is more militaristic.
The New Testament is a definite change. Remember as Jesus was being hauled off on Holy Thursday evening, Peter lays his life on the line for Jesus in cutting the soldier's ear.
Jesus heals the man and states the who ever lives by the sword dies by it.
This, I believe, is the break with violence He wants us to make.
I also think God reveals himself in Islam, Hinduism, Buddism and any other sect. We are all trying to get to Him.
I think He wants to make it easier for us to get there.
It may not be a popular answer, but I think it makes sense.
I hope to ask Him someday if I get the shot.
