I am responsible for the morning announcements in church each Sunday. Afterwards, I like to leave the congregation with a thought or some religious short story or antedote. Any one know of a web site where I can get more of them??

Well why not start with the truth. Here are few short stories to get you going.
Story-1: God is the greatest mass murderer in history.
References: Genesis 6:11-17 and Genesis 7:11-24
Some examples:
GE 6:13 - And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
GE 6:17 - And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.
Seems to me that God (for believers) is annoyed with humanity other than his buddy Noah, and decides to kill (murder) every living thing on the face of the earth, except of course Noah and his family - got to have a few friends left.
Story-2: God allowed women raped and your little children slaughtered.
From God’s so called Bible - Isaiah 13:15-18
“Anyone who is captured will be run through with a sword. Their little children will be dashed to death right before their eyes. Their homes will be sacked and their wives raped by the attacking hordes. For I will stir up the Medes against Babylon, and no amount of silver or gold will buy them off. The attacking armies will shoot down the young people with arrows. They will have no mercy on helpless babies and will show no compassion for the children.”
How any decent person can believe and follow the Bible is beyond imagination, seems like religious people just ignore the bits they dislike and twist the rest into a happy delusion, much like the behaviour of drug addicts.
Story-3:The Bible encourages self-mutilation.
Matthew 5:29 If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
Matthew5:30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away; it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to go into hell.
Perhaps people can understand why so many religions are nothing more than savage cults, because this practise still goes on today. Even women get stoned to death in some countries for having an affair or fling with some sexy guy.

When I was in a church, I use to be the Acteen Leader, and I always prayed for guidance from God. He always laid upon my heart exactly what scripture to give to each girl, it was always something they needed to hear, I didn't know that but God did. They would say afterwards, thanks I needed to read that verse or that chapter. I say Praise God.

Read the one when the townsfolk want to have sex with the angels, but the father offers his virgin daughter and concubine to the men instead. Then the townsfolk rape and kill the concubine and leave her dead on the man's steps. What a great story!

If you want fictional short stories to read in church, I believe your best source would be the bible.

Go to your Christian bookstore. Get a book on devotionals. They have short, inspiring pages. Pray.

I have a great short story.
A group of people raped, murdered, and persecuted millions, and claimed some "god" told them to do it. Today that evil group runs our country. They are called christians
