Well, they both were into polygamy. But of course Islam is more strictly monotheistic than Christianity, whereas arguably Mormonism is overtly polytheistic. It's hard to compare them because just about everything we know about Mohamed is religious, but we know a lot of objective facts about Smith.

I think it would be interesting to create a faith where say...Smith is the reincarnation of Mohamed as manifestations of a common Godhead. I mean just as a construct. A really gorgeous theology could be worked up out of that as a starting point.

They both started false religions and have led astray millions of people to eternal punishment in a devils hell.

What you see is not as real as God. What you see should prove to you there is a God. If you try and tell me we just became without a creator then you need to go rethink some things. Ask any athiest how the whole universe came about to exist and I mean every galaxy, planet and star, also the ones still being created. Ask how the earth has one set speed it is to turn and one set speed to rotate around the sun. Also the sun is just at the right distance for life to be sustained here on earth which includes billions of diverse lifeforms (That according to athiests just popped out of nowhere or crawled out of the Ocean). Is it all just coincedence? Also ask them to get an empty mason jar and set it in their house and go back to the jar 20 or 30 years later or more if needed and see whats in it..........you know what would be in it? Still nothing. You have to have a Creator and it scares athiests.
Also for the big bang theory supporters........where did the material that went bang come from and the energy to make it go BANG? I'll tell you, God created it and he may have made a "BIG BANG" out of it to put it where he wanted it I won't dispute that because the Universe is still expanding. All in all the athiests have too many questians to answer themselves that the Bible already explains. I'd rather believe there is a God and die and if there isn't I will then lose nothing but if there is a God and Creator and I've argued to people he isn't then I lose alot. Think it over friend. Are you really sure about denying God? The evidence is against you. The Bible, the only Holy written word of God explains all things past, present and future. There is no excuse for not having the knowledge, it's there.

They are both founders of two influential religions in the world. Joseph Smith of Mormons have millions of followers in United States of America and many parts of the world.
While Mohammed of Islamic religion have millions of followers in the Middle East (mostly Arab countries) and many parts of the world too. Both claimed to have gotten their messages from two different angels. Angel Moroni for John Smith and Archangel Gabriel for Mohammed.
They both are using Books based primarily from Jewish Torah which is also the base used by the Christians. Mormons have the rightist wing influence at the white house while Islam is the controlling force over all the Islamic State. Catholics on the other hand have influences on the Latino countries, Ireland and the Philippines. Other Christian denominations are found to have influence in Europe specially Great Britain.

Well, of course both founded large religions that still exist (Islam and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) and both claimed to be prophets of their Deity. Both believed in plural marriage and both produced sacred texts clamining divine guidance. And both of their religions have many sects that have evolved and are often violently opposed to the others in matters of doctrine and who inherits the power of the religion. Both religions accept some of the same scriptures in the Hebrew Bible as well.

Both of them claim new revelation from an angel that contradicts the Christian Gospel--in violation of Galatians 1:8: "But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned!"

The main difference besides Mormonism being TRUE is that Muslims Kill indiscriminately and Mormons give billions of dollars a year to help the needy.

Funny, they have the same things in common with Jesus, Moses, and Abraham.

They were men, nothing more, and lunatics and liars all.
