I'm looking for recommendations for how my wife and I can emphasize Christianity on Halloween night.

We are not looking for Halloween to be a single or special day of reflecting Jesus Christ in our community (for Christ is in every day), but we understand that there will be many families out on Halloween night. It seems like a great opportunity...

We will be asking this same question in fellowship with the church, but I thought that perhaps this audience would have some valuable ideas (perhaps from personal experience).

I believe that rape, or sexual abuse of a minor is worse, and should be severly sentenced.

Now, there's a court case where two people, man & woman are living together & aren't married. That is their sexual orientation. They are sueing there employer because under the new law in WA, they should get the same work benefits as the married couple, like the homosexual are,and they aren't.

Do you think they should get the same work benefits as a married couple?

christmas when it came from a pegan holiday.there is no record that christ was born in dec. but there is a history of it being a pagan holiday.

wouldn't it be nice to bury your deceased family/ friends in the back garden so that everytime you go outside for a morning coffee or have a nice day outside they could be part of that?
Instead of in a huge cemetary in a big field filled with strangers all around you!.I like this idea for when i die!.
Anyone else think this? Im not sick..

P.S.. wouldn't work if you have a large digging dog like a lab...not something nice to go with your morning coffee!!

i was in school sitting on a couch with this guy and i got news that i was stuck into a class called glitter mini golf in spanish (no it doesnt really exist) he offered to take the class for me and then we started dating......

Has religion throughout history killed or saved more lives? I read a post that said that "we need Christianity to save lives" and citing the bloodshed in communist/totalitarian states that banned religion as evidence. Is this indeed true?

Let's look at the first part. The Crusades in the medieval era were funded by the Papacy, and the crusaders were given "papal indulgences" wiping their slates clean. Need I state how much death there was in that? Look at the Reformation and the Counter-reformation. On St. Bartolomew's Day Massacre in France, all of the Huguenot (Protestant) French leaders were killed by the Catholic monarchy in an attempt to "unite" France. This led to a civil war between the nobility and the monarchy, and throughout the country. This is just one example.

Now let us look at bloodshed in the USSR as a counter example. Stalin for example was a totalitarian that sent tons of people to gulags in an attempt to quicker industrialize the USSR from an agragrian nation.

When people ask a simple question because they want to get more indepth with understanding God, some of you nonbelievers respond to them by saying religion is evil, there is no God, etc.

These people are trying to learn about what they believe in without being told otherwise. Your not even answering their questions most of the time. Your just giving them information that you heard or thought up.
