Good = spinach/crab sauce over angel hair pasta
Evil = Atkins diet
Not from the Tree of Knowledge, but instead, the Meatball of Knowledge. I have tasted it, and now I know.

But as far as the rest of the misguided world goes, I guess "evil" would have to be that which maliciously harms others. And "good", that which enriches the lives of others. I guess it depends on your perspective. Tough question. Guess Pastafarians have it easy, huh? =)

Good and Evil come in many degrees. They are relative terms, and dont exist in nature. Good and Evil are moral opposites... products of Man and Religon, and In the end it doesnt really matter.

Though, according to The Christian Religon, Good seems to be outlined in the bible and is the Will of God... Evil is the will of Lucifer. Good is the Light, Evil is the Dark.

Intent.

The line between Good and Evil is fine.. it's a tightrope.

Even the best of intentions can sometimes end up being evil; sometimes we don't realize we've done it. Good and evil are the yin and yang.. one does not exist without the other and both are two halves of one whole.

God is good. Evil is the absence of God. Satan and sin are good examples of evil.

To your second question, I have no way to know for sure of course but am going to guess that whether I ate from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil would make no difference. God is still good and evil would still be the absence of God

We don't need to eat from the tree, that is carried with us through Original Sin, thanks to Adam and Eve (God likes to punish the progeny of sinners as well as sinners themselves).

Good and Evil are arbitrary, and the failure for people to understand that is what causes most of the world's problems. That's why you'll have both sides in a war both claiming to be fighting evil.

Personally, I look for an act in degrees of benefit to society. If the act is beneficial overall, in even the smallest sense, then it is good. If an act is damaging overall, even in the smallest sense, it is evil. This means you can harm something in the short term in the name of good, and you can aid something in the short term in the name of evil. This forces the individual (and society) to consider all implications of their acts, and determine which they are truly performing.

Be sure to notice I said beneficial overall. There are many acts that benefit the individual that are destructive overall. That is the most common type of evil.

The common definition that good is the presence of God, etc. doesn't hold up. By biblical statement, God created both good and evil, so by definition, God's "presence" in and of itself does not define an act as good or evil, since he is creator of both. Man's choice does.

There is no such thing good and evil are only words that we use to describe energy . polarity states that there is a positive and negative force in the universe but "good" and "evil" are adjectives relative to the person stating them.

Sometimes only point of view. But mostly, good is what is helpful or positive to you or those around you and does not hurt anyone. Bad would be the opposite.

How you define them is what they are. This is a question of what is moral, and that is open to interpretation. I say we evolved empathy, and social animal characteristics to help us work together to survive. To go against the social rules we evolved is evil to me. But over all it is individual.
