Why should we care about whether or not he fullfilled the prophecy? Whether he did or not doesn't change the fundamental truths within his message does it?

The word in the Hebrew is gender-neutral, and if JC had a thingy, he didn't use it, right?

Okay, I know I sound offensive here and I apologize, but I find it highly offensive when people assert that the Deity is male and a female Deity is anathema.

Discuss.

........he is employed directly by god and is therefore exempt from paying tax.

To me his actions sum up the whole creationist mindset perfectly.

And he laughs in your face. Are you going to stand there and remember what us Deists told you? Are you going to regret spitting in our faces and turning your back on the real God who is unknown and unrevealed through any written or spoken human words? I think you better really think about this. This is very serious.

Let the fight on Evolution begin. Here is my first argument. The complexity of living systems could never evolve by chance—they had to be designed and created. A system that is irreducibly complex has precise components working together to perform the basic function of the system. (A mousetrap is a simple example.) If any part of that system were missing, the system would cease to function. Gradual additions could not account for the origin of such a system. It would have to come together fully formed and integrated. Many living systems exhibit this (vision, blood-clotting, etc.). When you look at a watch, you assume there was a watchmaker. A watch is too complex to "happen" by chance. Yet such living systems are almost infinitely more complex than a watch. They could not be random—they simply had to be designed and created.Whats your views on this Atheist and agnostics? I really want to know

I am often told two conflicting things about the way I should read the bible. Some say that the entire thing is undeniable, historical and scientific fact, while others say that it is largly a metephorical work and should not be taken "literaly." Some say it is a bit of both, but everyone I talk to has differant openions on which parts are fact and which parts are metephor. Is Noah's ark fact or metaphor? Is God killing every first born in Egypt fact or metaphor? I'm really confused.

Genesis 1:27

"17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."

The Bible states that God informed Adam and Eve that if they ate from the tree of good and evil, they would die.

However, they DO eat from the tree of good and evil and live. The consequences were not death but shame, orinigal sin, etc.

A few things about what the bible says will happen after Jesus comes again don't add up for me. Was wondering if anyone can explain.

-Is the book of life an actual book? Why can't it be a laptop, or DVD of life?
-Why will everyone wear crowns and walk on streets of gold? Some fashion minded people may consider this a bit gaudy.
-Will Heaven be broken up and diversified? People like to live in areas that exhibit their own culture (clothing, architecture, etc.). Will there be a Heavenly Chinatown? Will there be forced hegemony?
-When people return to the new Earth, will there still be deserts? Deserts are, by and large, harsh regions in which humans must struggle to live.. but millions have lived there and consider them beautiful.
-Will there be sports? How do you lose a game if you're perfect?

If your only response is a variation of "These are just details that don't really matter," then please leave the posting to people who actually think about what they believe in

>Won't it be nice if all people work hard to bring all who trust our Lord into one as we worshlp him?

>It come from all 4 gospel but i will take the one in mark, chapter 3 verse 23 to 27.
"So Jesus called them and spoke to them in parables: "How can Satan drive out Satan? 24If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come. 27In fact, no one can enter a strong man's house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man."

let all unite to go to kingdom of God.
>I want to know is what is the diffreance in the diffrent religion that cause the conflict?

Many people don't understand the difference between religion(soul-betterment),race(breed),and politics(government management),not to mention a free will that isn't always dominated by the three other necessary monkies. Why is it so difficult for people to see the subjects as they are?Personally I just breath-I don't practice sh*t(anything) for a religion, though I've heard every philosophy-I guess I'm like an ancient Greek-they just studied scientific reasoning and practiced wrestling.Racially, you breed is your history and your future, but all your people have to agree. And Dumb Whites keep saying their race"is Christian",which isn't a race, but a religion like Kung-Fu.What race are Muslims?-Arab.What race are Hindus?-Indian.What race are Taoists?-Oriental.Politically,freedom is good ,but I like some of the stability that comes moderate dictatorship,at least someone takes responsibility for something!Your forced to attend school when little-but it's for your own good! Is atheism a religion, or a lack of religion? Do atheists realise that by not believing in a god, supporting Darwin's theory of evolution, promoting fluid morality et al they are actually practitioners of a registered religion, Humanism?

Catholics believe in the duality of the Holy Trinity, and I understand that, but I had a born again debate (if you want to call it that) with a guy making trippy psychedelic Jesus paintings at the beach. He couldn't speak for himself, everything showed me were bible verses which were never in context to what we were saying. HE said I need to take the bible as truth, word for word and not to interpret it. Then when I asked him where it said Jesus is God, Jesus saying I am God, he found a verse that he interpreted as Jesus is God. I've read the Bible twice through, and I think this type of behavior is dangerous.
