It does me. I find it an amazing gift from our Creator. A sign of His love. But no matter what or if you believe to you enjoy it? Does it fill your day with beauty and wonder?I find it very spiritual.

I've been praying for my friend for months.... When your friend is struggling we pray right? I've heard of people who pray for like years and years for their friends to come to God.... but... I've said everything to God... do I just keep on doing it or what.

No matter what anyone ever does, How much of a horrible person they were on earth...how many people they Kill or massacre they can still go to heaven. Also what if someone murdered your whole family...In the bible it teaches forgiveness...so doesn't it make you mad that you would have to forgive them. Also now that I think about it...Shouldn't our Christian President be forgiving terrorists instead of Killing them...I mean come on..WWJD??? Wouldn't he turn the other cheek?

i eat meat most of the time, only because my mother makes me.
but everytime i have to , i have this gut feeling telling me not to eat it, and that it's wrong and bad. i don't wanna eat animals becasue i feel that they are like us. they have feeling, they have families, they cry, they are just like humans and everytime i eat them it feels like i'm eating a humans corps (which is sick makes me sick)...
what i wanna know dose God want us to eat meat? if so, why would he want us to kill and eat a innocent little creature?
if you know anything that say's eating meat is good or bad in the bible, post it.

Why can't you live the the rules in the bible? If everyone lived by the commandments in the bible wouldn't the world be a better place. There would be no wars, no cheating on people, no killing, etc. What do you think is so wrong with the commandments?

Agnostic here, don't want to change anyones religion.

I have seen today a few people who say that evolution is false and the work of the devil. I respectfully ask then why have humans uncovered various artifacts that lead many to believe in a Theory of Evolution (not a fact, I understand). Just as an example, I read in the September 2006 Discover that there is a 75 million year old Dinosaur that had bone cancer and it shows up in an xray. The oldest homo sapien is according to what we have found 300,000 years old. Creationist belief as I understand it is that there was no sickness or disease before the fall of adam and eve.

I ask because I bought this book that was a humor book about a flying spaghetti monster that said the noodly appendages of this being played with the carbon dating machines. He based that joke on creationist belief, that carbon dating is false.

Respectful question, please dont answer "they are all idiots", I want to give them a chance to share their views

In my everlasting quest to understand religion, here's what I saw at Target (store) yesterday:

At 7:45pm I was parked in front of the store, waiting for my wife to come out.
Suddenly, a Jewish man (black suit, sideburns, beard and cap, yarmulke I think it's called.?) quickly walked out of the store, placed his shopping bag down, and turned to face the store front (wall).
He was very close to the wall, even going as far as to touch it with one palm at times. His hands were always out in front of him like when praying and his lips were moving although I could hear nothing.
After about 5 minutes of this, his wife (I guess) came out of the store, interrupted his praying for a moment, put her bags down and then went back into the store.
The man continued his praying for another 5 minutes.
Finally he finished, and get this,... he turned back around to face the parking lot again AND SMOKED A CIGARETTE as if satisfied following a good roll-in-the-hay.
Can someone decipher this to me?

This is not by any means an antagonistic question.

The Bible has umpteen different versions, and some have been deleted by the "church", and they are still discovering others,e.g.,Gospel of Judas, Gospel of Thomas, etc.

There are even Books accepted by some Christians that are not acknowledged by other Christians (apocrypha), and still some faiths have added to the Bible.

Meanwhile, The Holy Qur'an has not changed since its inception. So, with so many revisions, how can one accept the new testament as the true Word of Allah (SWT), let alone as divinely inspired?

Pretending for a moment that I believe that the Bible contains any history (I don't), I understand that the Jews killed Christ.

well-and if your going to antagonize me cause im a true Jew with a Jewish messiah and u dont got one-why bother-i have an experience-your non experience -not knowing the Messiah personally as savior and best friend, good shepherd and more-it works for me -and helps me be a true Jew with the Messiah -in Greek Cristos the anointed one -Moshiach in Hebrew-which i learned for my bar mitzvah and recomend all to learn for the Psalms what a blessing -Adonai roi lo echsor -the Lord is my shepherd i have no needs =i shall not want-cause he fulfills them-and often tells me how when i need to do my part and how-thanks friends-even my Jewish people -who reject the truth-Moses said "The life of the flesh is in the blood and ive given it to make atonement for your soul>" got an atonement-no -then dont ever say you follow the God of the Jewish scriptures

The Chick publications website is full of comic strips about what is evil in their eyes. Like homosexuality, and dungeons and dragons, and anyone in their comics that is evil has little caricatures of demons coming out of them. I find this to be extremely disturbing. I came upon in last night when I was answering a D&D question about whether it is evil. Are these scare tactics to the ones that follow the Christian religion to remain in their "club". Again, I found it EXTREMELY disturbing. How could they just take anything that they don't really know about it and twist into something so horrid? Are they brainwashing their people? Do you think it is an attempt also for people to buy their book? It's at the end of every strip.

For me it was discovering Huna. Huna taught me the how's and whys of why I do what I do and how to fix it, or make it more powerful.

I was asked to re-post this.
I've had 1000's of prayers answered but this is
just one that happened to me and my family.

My daughter is handicapped, I won't say what because some will make fun of her and me, I know how some can be here. When she was 24 she wanted her own apartment, so we reluctantly agreed. After the 1st Month myself, wife and son where at Church and a voice said to me: GO to the Apartment NOW..GO NOW!
I felt a very strong urge to LEAVE..so we drove like crazy over there and 2 men had broke in, her clothes were off and they had her tied and they were about to take advanatge of her. I hit one man and my wife called the police, I held them there with a baseball bat..they are now in jail. My daughter now lives in her bedroom next to ours...FOREVER!
I know many will make fun of me...you may do so..but don't make fun of her.
This happened in Wilmington, Ohio 5 years ago, my then 11 year son still talks about the day God spoke to dad.

He said he is having a party and he wants me to bring Kool-Aid.

He also said he has a new pair of sneakers for everyone else who comes to the party. I think its a party for some commet or something!

What flavor Kool-Aid should I bring? I assumed you guys could tell me since you all know him so well.
