I follow a Celtic Reconstructionist path.
I worship some of the deities that were once worshiped in Celtic-speaking areas during the Iron Age. Honor and hospitality are very important virtues to me. I believe that deities have both positive and negative traits just like anyone else. I do not believe that any deity is all-knowing or all-powerful. I also believe in land and water spirits/deities. After death, I believe that I will go to the Otherworld to feast before reincarnating again to learn more. I honor my ancestors. I celebrate four agricultural holidays a year. I believe that there is an upper realm, a middle realm, and a lower realm---and that none of these is all-positive or all-negative, nor is one more important than the others. I respect the beliefs and deities of others and do not believe that there is only one "true" way to worship.

Okay, I'll bite. I do not believe in organized religion. It has caused more pain and suffering over the centuries than even simple greed and avarice. I've lost the need to identify my beliefs with a certain label, though I probably identify most closely with Deists. I do believe in what I'll call "The Great Architect." I feel human beings waste most of their lives trying to understand an entity that is so far above them they can't even begin to formulate a correct outline of what that entity is in its entirety. I find humor in the fight between evolutionists and creationists (or the really funny Intelligent Design folks, who think they are cleverly adding religion to public schools by giving it a scientific sounding name). There is evidence of evolution, it is only the mechanism behind it that biologists do not yet understand. I find it absurd that human beings cannot fathom that an entity who is presumably never-ending can see four billion years as a good afternoon's work. Human beings created organized religion, not God. Human beings have slaughtered millions in their effort to force others to worship as they do. It continues today, and there is no sign of it ever stopping. IMHO, organized religion only exists because of human being's need to think they go on after death and their inability to accept that may not be the case - all based on the ever expanding human ego.

My beliefs are complex. I'm a Unitarian and I respect ALL religions and faiths. Doesn't mean I agree with them but I respect differences. I probably lean toward being an atheistic agnostic pagan. I know that sounds confusing but it's really not. I've studied ALL faiths & beliefs (including atheism) and I've chose to just use the positive aspects I've found from many. I don't know if there's a God or not, and I'm not sure what happens after death although I lean toward reincarnation. I feel very spiritual when I'm out in nature so that's where that comes in. Thanks for asking, I'm glad to see you have an open mind to explore what other people think. You dont have to change what you believe but it will make you a better person just for knowing!!

I believe that there is a higher being, but one that's not judgemental or boastful. I believe that he or she values and loves all aspects of the world that they created, not just the tiny portion of humans who've managed to screw up and alter every part of the universe to fit their own self interests. Somewhere along the way we lost our priorities and the creator's priorities. So now, in the name of God we fight and kill each other and destroy nature, calling it "progress."
"Who will provide the grande design? What is yours and what is mine?
Cause there is no more new frontier, we have got to make it here.
Satisfy our endless needs, justify our bloody deeds
In the name of Destiny, in the name of God.
And you can see them there, On Sunday morning
Stand up and sing about what it's like up there-
They call it Paradise, I don't know why
You'd call someplace Paradise and kiss it goodbye."
-The Eagles
We destroyed the Paradise we were actually given by God, holding out hope that there's something waiting for us up there- that's paved in Gold. What good has gold ever really done us? I guess, like religion, people kill and die for it too. I don't think that's what the real God wanted.

I'm Pagan and I believe:
1) that I'm a part of the world, not apart from it and certainly not above it or ruling it
2) that divinity is not masculine or genderless -- it is both male and female
3) much of what is called "spiritual mumbo jumbo" simply hasn't been proven by science yet, but we'll get there one day
4) I have been born into this life for a reason and when I have completed my mission I will move on
5) love is more powerful than death and is present throughout the cycle of life - death - rebirth
6) the blessings of the god and goddess -- miracles and magick happen
7) there are many paths to heaven
8) humans made up the concept of Hell to manipulate other humans
. . . and other things, but that's enough for starters.

I am Wiccan.
I believe that we are all a part of the All. I believe in reincarnation. I believe that there needs to be balance between male and female. I do not believe there is a being that is all good nor one that is all evil. I do not believe there is one religion for everyone but that everyone can find one thing to believe in. I believe that no one is going to save us from our folly but it must be us who takes responsibility for our world and we must try to fix it. I believe in Magick (that is the way we spell in in Wicca to separate it from stage magic). I believe in Karma. I believe in the Wiccan Rede, "An it harm none, do what thou will". I believe that we need to save our environment and save our planet, and not just because it is the only known source of chocolate, beer, and coffee. And I believe that if we stop to listen to others we can learn a lot, hopefully one of the lessons is tolerance.
Blessed Be )O(
