I basically agree with you.
People who "magnify" our misdeeds do this NOT because they're really interested in our behavior.
Rather, they see it as an opportunity to "score points" against Christianity and make it look bad for the purpose of "building up" their own beliefs and lifestyles.
That's because Christianity teaches them things that they just don't want to hear. Things that make them feel guilty and prick their consciences.
So, in order to make the guilt and the conscience-pricking go away, they feel the need to attack that which is the cause of the guilt and the conscience-pricking.
Hence, their attacks on Christianity and those who practice it.

I'm a Christian and I believe all Christians are hypocrites. It'd be nice if that was our only problem. We're also covetous, envious, idolators, and many other things far worse.
The word "Hypocrite" means actor. Someone who performs on the stage. When we use the word now, we mean someone who performs in real life to make people believe things are different with them than they actually are. I challenge you to find anyone in this world who isn't a hypocrite.
Everyone has expectations of life that they do not hold to. They know what they ought to do, but no one actually does it. This is what we call the law of human nature.
Christians, at no point, should be thought to be better than other people, nor worse. The difference between Christians and other people is they are forgiven, and having accepted Christ as their savior, they are making the best effort they can to change who they are to be more like Christ. This doesn't mean that they will be perfect, or even close to perfect. It means that they will slowly grow in holiness over time.
So yes, we're all hypocrites, just like the rest of the world.

Everyone is a hypocrite, even those who call others hypocrites. Think about it. Those who call Christians hypocrites are basing their judgement on a false premise that ALL Christians are supposed to act perfect. They tell us not to "judge lest ye be judged". How hypocritical is that? They are acting as if they are the pious judge of Christians when they are just as bad as everyone else.
Christians ought to stop aiding this misnomer that we are all to act differently. The main difference with the Christian and the unbeliever is their salvation, the rest is a work in progress.
There are many unbelievers who are much nicer then the best Christians out there. That is just a fact. This means nothing for their salvation for salvation is not determined by how good you act, rather salvation is determined by the fact that you are a sinner in need of a savior to inherit eternal life.

H2_Oasis,
Yes, all Christians are hypocrites. They are guilty of every sin, and are going to sin more.
What makes them different than you is that they have salvation through Jesus Christ. Other than that, they are still sinners, all of them.
If you magnify their mistakes, get ready for the judgement that comes your way. Magnified.
You have the right to hate us. My Lord said you would, people like you. You, as long as you think that way will have no excuse when you meet God.
You have all the rights to go your own way, but He has ownership over you just the same. You are His creation, after all. So you will get back what you are giving.
See ya.

everyone has been or will do something hypocritical in their life. in fact they will many times. it is easy for a christian to become hypocritical even though it is wrong to. why? because you are supposed to spread the word of god and the right ways to worship him. at the same time you're supposed to be sinless and follow him also. it is easy to spread the word but harder to follow it. it is not easy to be a christian. why do you think so many people stray from that life style? it is as the old sayings go easier said than done, talk the talk but can't walk the walk etc... some christians follow most of the rules but it is not possible for christians to follow all of the rules, all of the time because humans are designed to make mistakes but repenting is true worship. god didn't want robots he wanted us to love him by choice. so it is hard to be like jesus that is why he is so famous and the only one that could do it.

No, I don't think all Christians are hypocrites. I think Christianity is. And Christians are made to adopt hypocritical ideas along with other more noble ones. Anyway, I know for a fact that some Christians are really good people.

"people hate christians", not true. but many can't stand people who are radical in their beliefs and claim to have a message of peace which comes with stones.Unfortunately, you find plenty of those (in more religions also)
not all christians are hypocrits. all individuals are different. the problem is when people stop being individuals and become a stereotyped role. then they are all hypocrites, coz they won't really know what they're talking about nor what they are doing. but it's like the cover of a book: it looks nice.

Christians make mistakes.
A hypocrite is someone who says they are a Christian who has never repented to God ones a sinner & received the free gift of everlasting life, through Christ Jesus. He shed His blood for the remission of our sins & rose up for our justification. This gift needs to be received, by confession & believing in ones heart.
A Christian is a child of God, saved by grace. Hypocrites believe salvation is by works first. Many works done before heart transformation are dead works. Works done because of heartfelt faith, hope & love and God's Word are everlasting.
If a Christian says they are telling the truth & aren't, they are being hypocritical. God disciplines them.
If a Christian is persecuted for Christ's righteousness, then Great is Christians reward.
Christians are persecuted for their mistakes as well as Christ righteousness.

Definitely not! I am one, and it has been very important to me to not be, because I thought that a lot of us or all of us were, before I became a born-again christian. I wanted to honour God not make Him ashamed of me. But you know what God's grace is about unmerited blessings and forgiveness. The funny thing is or hypocritical thing is, the people "throwing" stones at the christians are sinners themselves! But it would also be alot better for us all if all true christians stood up for God to be God's standard.
