Pray with an open heart, use whatever words you want or no words. God knows and hears the language of the heart.

In the Old Testament the people prayed like the way muslims do, on thier knees with thier foreheads pressed to the ground. The Jews stand before a wall, the gentiles clasp thier hands together and bow thier heads, the catholics draw a cross over thier torso or touch thier foreheads and heart area. Are thier prayers answered? Yes they are, will your prayers be answered too? What? God loves them and not you? My prayers are answered, not all the time, not when i want them answered, not always the answer i was hoping for either. Think that God loves me more than you? Not bloody likely. I think a little patience is required here. If you want an example of faith and waiting on God? How about Sarah and Abraham, especially for a woman wanting a child. What was she? 89? Patience and Faith my dear and know that many of the people who have read and answered your question are now also praying for you and your freind. Matthew chapter 18 verse 18.

If I called out to you "girl" or "woman", would you think I was talking to you specifically? I could be talking to anyone really. God is a title, "God" is not God's name. See Psalms 83 v. 18. (see King James version or any other) This scripture tells us that God's name is Jehovah. If you started your prayer by saying God's name, then he will hear you. As to how to pray or what to say, act like you would in a normal conversation with a close friend. Express how you feel, tell him your concerns, thank him for what he has blessed you with and put your heart into it. You can always use the Lord's prayer as an outline (see Matthew 6 v. 5-15). Either way, treat your prayers as conversations with a dear friend.

What a caring friend you are!
How about trying this:

1. Start the prayer with acknowledging the presence of God and your ever present connection.
2. Affirm that God's nature is for good.
3. Imagine God's love and light flowing into you.
4. Imagine God's love and light flowing into your friend, overflowing, and surrounding him or her.
5. Give thanks for this awesome power between God and People.
6. Give thanks that your friend is evolving the way she needs to be right now.
7. Feel yourself full of gratitude that she is continually moving towards awareness of the love and light being sent to her.
8. Tell God that you are releasing this prayer and giving it over to him, and you will keep no investment in the outcome, for it is already so.
9. And So It Is!

Truly do release it to God and release yourself from worry.

I believe the best thing for you to do is to be an example for your friend, be respectful of her own process. By not bringing up that she has to accept God, she will not have to keep fighting against, or resisting it. She will then be free to look around more openly and see your peace. God will guide her the right way for her. There is no hurry. God is with her now.

Yes, keep on keeping on praying. You know some prayers are answered instantly, some later, but there are some where we wait years. Remember - God's timing is best. We have the small picture - but He is has bigger picture.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and learn not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.

He is faithful God.

Yes Keep on praying if you dont then who will. Some times it feels like we can do nothing but we really do. We just can't see it right now but some day you will. Keep up the good work.

Why pray? Are you asking God to change his "perfect plan", or are you asking God to do what he was going to do anyways? In either case, it doesn't make much sense.

People pray because it makes them seem like they are helping. One man with a shovel can do more good than a million people praying.

It is not as though more quantity of praying for the same thing is required. God knew what you wanted before you asked. Yet still, he wants you to pray without ceasing. It’s not ultimately about your friend, its about communing with God, and hopefully, he will give you what we ask (if we ask according to his will, in faith, and with right motives, you can be sure he will be merciful), and you will be lead into praise and thanksgiving. Keep on persevering sister!

never stop praying to god, hears every word you say. if something is not going right remember that god decides what is going to happen to whom and when. just pray to god like you were talking to your best friend.
