I was asked to re-post this.
I've had 1000's of prayers answered but this is
just one that happened to me and my family.

My daughter is handicapped, I won't say what because some will make fun of her and me, I know how some can be here. When she was 24 she wanted her own apartment, so we reluctantly agreed. After the 1st Month myself, wife and son where at Church and a voice said to me: GO to the Apartment NOW..GO NOW!
I felt a very strong urge to LEAVE..so we drove like crazy over there and 2 men had broke in, her clothes were off and they had her tied and they were about to take advanatge of her. I hit one man and my wife called the police, I held them there with a baseball bat..they are now in jail. My daughter now lives in her bedroom next to ours...FOREVER!
I know many will make fun of me...you may do so..but don't make fun of her.
This happened in Wilmington, Ohio 5 years ago, my then 11 year son still talks about the day God spoke to dad.

Do you believe in God?..i do

Wow, what a story.

There are lots of stories -- real stories -- just like this out there. And yet the atheists still demand "proof" that God exists.

I've had lots of experiences where I was moved by God to do something, or in some cases not do something.

Nothing quite as dramatic as what happened with you and your daughter, but real just the same.

God bless you and your family.

While that's a lovely story, the challenge I have is this. Every day all around the world thousands of women are raped and many are murdered. These women all are presumably special and loved by someone. If God is so keen to intervene and save your daughter, why not all these others? Are you so arrogant that you believe you are just so special to God? Do you think that all these other women are just not as special as you and your daughter?

There are horrific atrocities perpetrated every day against human beings. As you read this, I guarantee that somewhere in the world a child is being raped, someone else is being tortured to death etc. Where is God when this is going on, and what makes you think you are so special?

The fact is, you had a premonition. No one knows how or why these things happen, but it does not prove a magic invisible man is watching over us all 24/7.

Liar.
I cannot imagine why anyone would make up a story like this... Oh wait, I can. It's to convince the gullible sheep and make them stay in the church. And while they are there they will certainly fill the collection plate won't they?

By the way, what made your daughter so special? Why did god save her and not the thousands of women and girls raped and murdered on a daily basis?
Why would he save a handicapped white girl but not heal an amputee that cannot work to support his family because he stepped on a forgotten land mine laid there in the 60's by some kid fighting in Vietnam?
Hmmmm?
Liar.

1.) You know your daughter is physically vulnerable.
2.) You probably knew the area she was in was not entirely safe.
3.) There are 6.5 billion people on the planet

The first two lift the likelihood of you having been right at any random moment. The third says that of all the people who get such a hunch, it's likely that a few people are going to be right.

I see nothing 'miraculous' about this. I see the laws of statistics perfectly played out.

What you call God talkign to you, could also be defined as that telepathic link between people who are close. this is explained when you and ur friend say something at the same time, or you can even feel their pain if your not around them. your explanation of God here is anothers for that link. and im sorry to hear about that, im glad you got there in time though. but had it been me i dont think i coulda controlled myself enough to not kill them. perhaps you having your 11 yr old son there helped your decision making there.

(just know im not ruling out that it may have been God im just giving an alternate explanation. i have had times similiar to that but without the urgency of that situation. But i cant say ive ever heard a voice its just a feeling i got.)

I don't believe in god, nor does your story prove a god. At best, it proves some form of unknown communication that need not be supernatural.

But I'm glad to hear the outcome of your story and can completely sympathize with your position. I have a handicapped daughter as well (Down Syndrome), and my wife and I have been debating whether or not a group home makes sense. Your story gives me pause to that idea, so thanks for sharing it.

You’re a sad case that’s for sure. It’s good that your children are safe, as it is for all parents' children, and there’s nothing wrong with loving and caring for your children. You talk of handicap in the family, but have you had a hard look at yourself, or has anyone advised that you also appear to be handicapped. Not physically but mentally.

Religion is a serious mental illness. It’s the inability to face the reality of life and the finality of death. It affects 85% of the USA and 75% of US victims are Christians. The more pathetic and desperate a persons life, the more likely they are to believe in a god. People with otherwise empty lives, are the strongest believers. It gives them false hope that there’s a higher meaning to their sad and pathetic lives.

People say they talk to aliens, people say they talk to God. The first lot are called nutters, the second lot are called religious. There's a lot of money to be made out of religion and it has become a well rehearsed play over time. Religious people also pray (talk) to fence poles and cheese sandwiches.

Christians are below average intelligence and tend to be very gullible, that's why when a fence pole or a cheese sandwich has an imprint that looks like a religious face, such as God or Our Lady, millions will flock to the spot and worship. It's also known as sheep to the slaughter syndrome.

It’s also a well known fact that intellectually handicapped people are often quoted as being the happiest people in the world. They are so blissfully unaware of the true world around them, and see and believe reality to be quite different in their mental worlds.

I think religious people are blessed with a similar “handicapped” gift which would explain why they see and believe in the imaginary world of religion, God and the Bible. I think religious people are also blissfully unaware of reality in their mentally handicapped world. This could help, explain their irrational behaviour.

Thank God your daughter is safe now.
Since I work with the children with Special Needs, I can try to empathize the feelings your family goes through every day after that incident.
God definitely exists and those who donot believe in him or his miracles fail to understand that all of us have no existence without him.
He is very much real, infact ONLY HE IS REAL, every thing else is unreal.
Do you think we can function without our soul, where does this soul come from? God has created all of us.
Who created the sun, the universe and who manages every thing so well in order to make sure that every body gets his or her share of meals daily?
God such wonderful. And still some of us believe that he does nothing for us.

amen! that's awesome. and i know what you mean, you're probably gonna get some dumb answers about how it was a coincidence, or how you're psychpathically tied to your daughter or something. And that's the sad truth; unless somthing big like that happenes to somebody, they will have a hard time believeing it's god. But if it happens to you, there is no way you could ever think it wasn't God! the proof is there, in you!
I know what you mean, though. My cousin drowned in a pool, and God raised him from the dead. For me, my cousin, and my uncle, there is no doubt in their mind that God revived him. But try tell someone else that story, and you get excuses like "Oh, it was just a coincidence, their heart just started beating again." lol sad hey?

Dear Just Yak'n: And to all of YOU who have answered him:

What is a psychic experience? Some of you use this technical word that medical science accepts as real. Have they explained to you also, how it works, exactly? NO. And they can not!

The Holy Spirit resides within the One Mind of the sons of God. You are Created in the Creator's likeness. You are spirit-mind, as He is. Eternal. As He is. Remember the Resurrection?

You are more than your human-ness. Far greater. The Holy Spirit is the Father's Answer to the Separation. Because of the Holy Spirit you cannot truly be separated - the Holy Spirit is aware of your human life and actions, and is aware of the Creator and His Creation - the Kingdom - at the same time. Placed into your higher - holy Mind - He whispers to you higher thoughts and is your Conscience. He is also your Comforter and your Guide.

Psychic thought - as you like to call it - disdainfully - is a Gift from your Father to abide with you on your Journey of human life.

Psychic thought which joins you to another is an actuality in this world - of the One Mind - created by God as the Kingdom - each Mind of His fashioning contains a channel that links it to every soul ever Created and to the Father Himself. That is why, in your Reality and beyond the human mind functions - you are in full communication with the entire Sonship and the Father without cease!

Psychic experience can be truly called - in this world - miraculous thought. It's the One Mind connection. In Reality, our Home and heritage, it is simply natural. . .

Those who have these experiences are receiving natural thought from the Holy Spirit residing in their higher levels of Mind and speaking to them. The fact that they hear is the miracle.

We all need to learn to hear!
