"Islam is a very christian way to worship. And I'll prove it: I know many christians that are also muslims!"


I don't believe what I wrote above. It sounds stupid, obviously, because the two are completely different religions with completely different beliefs -- even if they do share certain ideas and people (e.g. helping the poor; abraham).

***And, more importantly, just because a few christians believe in islam (or vice versa), that doesn't make islam a TYPICAL christian perspective.

I think most christians would agree.

So why do they use this same flawed logic with jews and christianity?!

I constantly hear christians saying that christianity is a very "jewish" perspective since we share certain ideas and people, and since there have been some jews in history who've believed in jesus.

Don't they realize what a vacuous idea this is?
They see it when applied to themselves, so why not when they apply it to others?

None of the languages in the Americas resembled the Hebrew Language. There have never been any Hebrew texts found from the time period before Europeans landed on the continent. If the book of Mormon is true then the Israelites that supposedly came to the Americas would have landed on the contintent with the language intact. So where are the books?

My mom-n-law told me. I read in their church letter. 'When sin attaches, we can believe it forgiven in the name & blood of Jesus as proclaimed from God's children here on earth...Thus, we are also made holy before God through His forgiveness.' One has to confess sins to brother & brother says, "Your sins are forgiven in the name & blood of Jesus Christ." Then God forgives you. Plus, in their catacism, one needs to confess to the confessor (priest) as if the confessor (priest) is God. (All children in faith are part of the priesthood.) Then the congregation is considered the mother's love. Biblically the mother is the New Heavenly Jerusalem.

What do you think of this Lutheran belief?

Why would he allow the innocent children of the world to suffer starvation, diseases, abuse, and murder? I live close to the area that Jessica Lundsford used to live, until she was abducted and killed. And, it is a sore spot for alot of the people in the community. For you christians who answer with "God is love" and other mindless, cookie-cutter, church tripe, have you ever had a terriblely awful thing happen to someone you know, and asked yourself, "How could god let this happen?"

I I was the "Son of god" I would pull that card all the time.

If I ever got pulled over I would yell at the cop "do you know who my father is?"

I bet he got mad chicks wherever he went. I bet they weren't hairy like all the chicks in that part of the world today. They were probably hot. Like Katie Holmes hot, but with the legs of Elle McPherson and the lips (upper and lower) of Angelena Jolie.

I think the ladies loved him so much that he had to keep a posse of 12 other dudes just to take care of the chicks he couldnt handle.

Free will makes absoultely no logical sense. How do you determine what is "God's will" and what is the sin of man? For example, a child who gets cancer...was it this so-called "God's plan" or from the free will of a parent that raised their child near a nuclear power plant that emitted radiation? Was it God's plan for 9/11 to happen? Or was the free will of the terrorists. Was it God's plan for X person to become a doctor? Or was it person had free will to study to become one? I've asked about why bad things happen before. The generic Christian response is either "It was in God's plan...you just don't understand it." When I try to argue against that, I get the answer, "It wasn't God's fault. It was the person who sinned."

Do you see where I'm going? Everything happens because of another person's free will. We get in car accidents because another driver chose to be careless. We become Christians because of the way we were RAISED or through the free will of others to help us, guide

Jews do not believe Jesus was a prophet.

Almost any question on what Jews believe has Christians piping in to say we view Jesus as a prophet (WE DO NOT) or that the difference between Judaism and Christianity is just whether Jesus was the Messiah (the differences are actually VAST)

Why answer a question you obviously do not know the answer too?

More of a list, though I would like to see any additions that I haven't thought of. Here we go.
Christian Paradox: Ideas that Christians invented but even they can't explain

-The Trinity. They believe in 3 completely seperate gods but still claim to be monotheists?
-Hell. Often described as seperation from God, but if God is omnipresent (everywhere at once) how can you be seperated from him in any sense?
-Jesus sacrificed himself. How is it a sacrifice when you know you're not going to stay dead? He even said he'd rise back up in 3 days.
-Thou shall not murder. Except when God tells you to? Except when God sends an angel to do it, or does it himself?
-God gave us free will. But he created all ideas and possibilities and knows exactly what choices we are going to make.
-Humanity is roughly 6000 years old. But why do other civilizations have records that refute this?
-God created earth for man. Then populated it with huge flesh eating monsters that were everywhere?

If you believe in God, do you also happen to accept that science is a _process_ - one with no acknowledged 'finishing point'? Do you understand that science, by its nature, never claims to have 'all of the answers'?

And that a sentence like 'science creates more questions than it answrs' is not only completely true but an example of what is good and honest about science?
