Jews do not believe Jesus was a prophet.
Almost any question on what Jews believe has Christians piping in to say we view Jesus as a prophet (WE DO NOT) or that the difference between Judaism and Christianity is just whether Jesus was the Messiah (the differences are actually VAST)
Why answer a question you obviously do not know the answer too?

What are you talking about I am Jewish? And this question goes to Why Christians answer questions about Jews. Is the writing to hard to follow? Should I use less difficult words?

"There are three religious truths:
1) Jews do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah.
2) Protestants do not recognize the Pope as the leader of the Christian faith.
3) Baptists do not recognize each other in the liquor store or at Hooters."

Jews think Jesus was a prophet but NOT the Son of God, the Messiah. That's the difference between Christians and Jews. Jews are still waiting for the Messiah.

I mean seriously anyone that had an elementary knowledge of both religions would know that while they have the same root they are vastly different.
the concept of a compound G-d / a undivided G-d
original sin / loss of potential
divine messiah / human messiah
atonement by sacrifice / atonement by prayer (teshuvah)
salvation though Jesus / salvation though G-d
eternal damnation / Gehenom
as anyone can see its much more than if Jesus was the messiah.

In reality Jesus never said he was the messiah, his dispels did all the talking and he called them fools most of the time. That is until you go beyond Mark in the bible, then you get the real fony story's of how Jesus was, John the baptist cousin, they get real deep into telling how Jesus was born, then those books after Mark gets real deep into is resurrection, telling he came back more times then I will accept, I believe Jesus was brought by the wealthy follower, because he had money, and since it is said the pharisees paid the guards off to say his followers took his body(telling me how would they know they were paid off), I believe his wealthy follower paid the gaurd, then took care of Jesus. Also looking at story's of Jesus of ppl seeing him walk down the road on churches, and how he died so soon on the cross, leads me to believe he didn't die in till days later.

You are right, Jews do not view Jesus as a prophet or have any reverence for him. He is not part of Judaism.
Muslims do view Jesus as a prophet.

You can't beat 'em, but please don't join 'em!
What part of NOT don't they understand????
They all think they understand Judaism because they read their "Old Testament," not knowing that Judaism is found in the Talmud, just as Christianity is found in the New Testament.
If it weren't so sad, I'd be LOL...

I have jewish friends in Israel and they've been taught that Jesus is a prophet. The differences are not that vast. Christianity completes Judaism. And you think you're knowledgable?

Jesus is the son of God. Jesus is the messiah. Jesus died for our sins, and rose again and still lives! The only way to to get into heaven is through acceptance of Jesus as your savior! Prasie the Lord!!!
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
