What aspect of your faith has helped you the most?

For me it was discovering Huna. Huna taught me the how's and whys of why I do what I do and how to fix it, or make it more powerful.

So what philosophy helped you the most on your spiritual path?

Note to The_Fundie Notice I asked for Pagans and New Agers only to answer the question?

Funny how you feel it is your right to jump in and smear Jesus everywhere.. Maybe you need to get a life.

I learned a LOT from studying Native American and Celtic beliefs. I can't honestly say I'm 100% pagan in my beliefs but it's a major part of my life. I've learned a lot studying the earth's cycles as well as being involved in pagan rituals. It's been the most spiritual part of my life for sure. I think I must've been a part of that during one of my past lives!!!!

The most powerful aspect of my faith is the balance between the masculine and the feminine, the god and goddess.

Growing up, I had a very difficult time dealing with the teachings and the history of the Church with regard to women.

Then, after the Virgin Mary/the goddess pulled of a minor miracle just for little old me, I was pretty pissed off at how Mary was relegated to the position of baby-maker by most christian religions and even in Catholicism most of the prayers I read talked down to her. I mean, excuse me, but aren't you asking for her help or intervention? And quite simply, I was not going to have any part of a religion that disrespected my Lady.

It was later that I found out that a lot of the beliefs I already held actually fit into "Pagan" theologies. And I am spiritually more at peace now than I ever was before.

What an excellent question! For me, it was all about understanding Mother and Father God, the process of reincarnation, and knowing who we really are. I used to have a horrible fear of death...growing up Christian does that...until I broke away and found answers that resonated in my soul as truth. I started off studying Buddhism, then I read a few Sylvia Browne books, then Edgar Cayce, etc. I'm also an empath, which having an understanding of how our energy works, negative and positive thoughts and emotions, was very beneficial for many different reasons.

The honor and love for Nature and my connection to it. To see the whole Earth as a living, loving Mother and all Her creatures (including plants) as part of my family. Its helped me to see the beauty in the world and helped me to find what I want to do, study Horticulture and Herbalism. There is nothing better than working in the garden or walking in the woods or standing on the sea shore.

I think it was discovering Seidr and putting it into practice. Meeting and having experiences with the various Norse Gods, experiences which were very healing as well as enlightening.
