1)I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In these times, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

2)Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, as long as they're purchased from neighboring nations. A friend claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

3)I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

4)My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cot/poly).He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

The majority of people who answered my last question seemed to feel that Atheism is a non-belief in a God, afterlife, worship of a higher power, and prayer of some kind. At least that is what I got from many of the answers. Therefore, if this is true, why would they be in the religious and spirituality section? I don't necessarily believe that all Atheists (non-believers) are bad people. They simply do not have the same beliefs as a Christian, and therefore I think that you will find that most Christians think they are wrong. But I have to wonder if those who do not have some type of religion, be it Christianity, Buddhism, Hindu, Wicca, whatever it may be, then why are they in here discussing religion, other than to either stir up trouble, try to make people question their own religion, or make a mockery out of others religious beliefs?

They make the same comments and ask the same questions, but really don’t seem to want to hear an answer.

Why are Christians shoving their religion down others throats?-- Well, not all do, but those who come across that way are simply trying to spread the word of their religion.

Why are Christians so close-minded?-- Well, our beliefs tell us that we are not to be open minded to any beliefs that contradict what the Bible teaches us. So being open minded to any beliefs that are not part of the teachings of God, is not something that we believe God wants us to be. This is not being judgmental, if we are simply following what God wants or what he tells us is right or wrong. This however, does not mean that we are unwilling to listen to a person of another religion tell us about what they believe, it simply means that we are only curious, not looking to change our beliefs. Out of curiosity I asked a question about what exactly Wicca was. I just was curious to know if what I had heard was true.

If a non-believer would ask a question or answer one, without cursing and making downright, mean and nasty comments, then others who believe differently would be more willing to at least have a mature discussion or debate with them. I truly have not seen any “religion” on here be as mean or nasty as some (not all, but some) Atheists are.

I just DO NOT understand this? They are supposed to spreading God's word to his flock of believers, yet they commit these most vile acts and others that even the staunchest athesit would never ever considering doing and DON'T?

No matter what your beliefs may be I DO NOT understand "Why" and "How" this happens? Any Idea?

Both were supposedly great teachers but there's no real proof of either's existence. Only what others wrote about them.

Who will be your judge? When the end of time or the end of your time comes or whatever it is that you personally believe what penalties will you have to pay. Come on even your parents punished you when you were bad. Life and choices have repercussions. What is going to happen to you. If you believe in anything more than a body what is going to happen to your spirit or soul? How are you so deserving when we all sin? When we all fall short of whatever religious or spiritual standard that we seek to attain.

i was telling people to get their facts right.

i never said that i beleived everything in the bible.

wouldn't that go against everything i just said about finding the truth for yourself?

also, there is factual information (excluding the bible) of jesus' exixtence. he was an ACTUAL PERSON. whether or not you beleive him to be the savior of man is up to you.

the people that argued agaisnt his historical existence are the people that i'm talking about. they are clearly wrong.
