I just DO NOT understand this? They are supposed to spreading God's word to his flock of believers, yet they commit these most vile acts and others that even the staunchest athesit would never ever considering doing and DON'T?

No matter what your beliefs may be I DO NOT understand "Why" and "How" this happens? Any Idea?

The whole thing boils down, Sweetness to two problems. the first being "celibacy was never meant to be a natural state (especially in a human male)" and the second "absolute power corrupts absolutely". Men of the cloth have a great deal of power over their constituants and some take it to the extremes. It's wrong, but in their minds they have the god-given right to do what they will. They literally become predators in the very flock they're supposed to protect. Oh it's sad, they ruin a lot of lives and trust; and see nothing wrong.

It's a very sad but true fact that there are certain professions where child molesters can get easy access to children. They are good con artists who put on their Sunday face but behind the scenes they are committing heinous acts against our precious children. Other professions which are vulnerable to attack by these depraved and evil people include nurses, health aides, problems counselors, and teachers. They hide under the cloak of their respectable professions to molest, steal from employers, and commit adultery with women who trust them and fall under their control. I know because I was married to a preacher who did all of the above: molested his own sons, the children in his church, had an affair with a high school girl, and stole from his own family. Notice I said I WAS WAS WAS married to him. He was very good at what he did but not good enough to get found out! The reason they do it??? They are evil!

They are human
This does not mean all humans would choose the same. Or this justifies any of it.
Satan is a efficent warrior
1 cause the greatest of sins
2 get the person who is example of good in the eyes of the masses to commit the sins!
3 in order that the masses loose their own faith in good , scattering the flock causing the loss of direction in the many. In order to cut off their coarse or path to God.
Divide and concure
by getting the preist he is able to decieve many
pray for them!

An old War plan Take out the leader and the troops have no direction and are easily overtaken!

Romans2:11-16 For there is no partiality with God. For all who have sinned without the Law will also perish without the Law, and all who have sinned under the Law will be judged by the Law; for it is not the hearers of the Law who are just before God, but the doers of the Law will be justified. For when Gentiles who do not have the Law do instinctively the things of the Law, these, not having the Law, are a law to themselves, in that they show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience bearing witness and their thoughts alternately accusing or else defending them, on the day when, according to my gospel, God will judge the secrets of men through Christ Jesus. Apparently according to Paul which who by Peter's own standards wrote according to the inspiration of God (God inspired) and therefore the truth. Yes men do naturally know they are not to violate the commandments of God, at least the ones dealing with interpersonal relationships. Its always best to let scripture answer these questions my friends.

I think these men come under attack by satan and somehow they allow satan to get a foot in the door. You know, satan is very clever. He doesn't announce his presence like, "hi, I'm the devil, and I'm going to ruin your life, may I come in?" He'll start small. There will be a young woman in the congregation whose husband is abusing her, she comes to the pastor for help, he feels for her...they become friends...he cares about this woman, all of a sudden, he finds he's in love with her. Things get out of hand, they have an affair. He's ashamed and then he's found out and .......

These men are human too. The bible tells us that the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. But he's a canny lion; he gets his foot in the door any way he can, and if a person is not "sober and vigilant", as this same verse tells us to be, satan spreads his nets and reels in his catch.

It's very sad and unfortunate when these things happen. I don't think just "men of the cloth" are just to blame. I've heard of many families who are Satan worshipers who abuse their own children on a regular basis. I'm sure some atheists have been guilty of such crimes.
There is a great book called "The Wounded Heart" which talks about how various types of predators may have begun their abusiveness. It is insightful and I recommend it.

For the same reason non ordained people do, because they are human with all its faults. Just because someone chooses to work as a teacher of religion, doesn't make them any less human. Less than 1% of pedophiles are religious leaders, you know, but for some reason they get most of the publicity. There are more pedophiles who are teachers, but you don't hear about them nearly as much.

It is a VERY small minority that does this.

And if I was a betting man, I would be willing to bet good money that at LEAST the same percent of atheists do this very same thing.

I don't even know you and I am 100% sure that you are smarter than to think that no atheist does this.

They commit them for the same reason anyone sins. They are sinful people who give into temptation. I think "religious" people are often tempted where they can do the most damage to God's reputation. Also, when they do fall to "gross" sins, the media gets excited and spreads the word.

You don't really think that there are no unbelievers or atheists committing these same kinds of sins, do you? That's just ridiculous.

Religion is about money. They don't believe half of what is in the holy book. If they recognize they have a problem, they fear getting help because it could get out and ruin their gravy train. And maybe they have really fooled themselves that they can ruin peoples' lives and be forgiven.
