The best we can do is to use our intelligence and rationale to make a decision after learning and studying the various religions and some from great advisors. Then when we are truly ready, test your understanding and practice what we think are wholesome. If and when the benefits show itself in this lifetime, we should begin to diligently practice and conduct ourself accord to its teachings. Transcendentally, we may see and know which is right for ourself.
If after all these hard work, and after we die, only negative benefits are known, then it does not matter anymore does it? The comfort at least still remain that we have enjoyed this life which we have made for ourself while here. So, really we do lose one way or the other if we practice a morally good religion.

I think it would be too difficult to imagine what it would be like if my religion was wrong. I guess to properly asses this question it would depend on which one was right. Being a Christian, if I was wrong then on the basis of most religions I would either be in heaven or nothing. I think what is more troubling to me is what if I am right. I know this is known as Pascal's wager, but what if Christianity, and by that I mean biblical Christianity, was right? There is no doubt in my mind that it is, but to think about this from another perspective, one in which the person doesn't believe what I believe, well I just shudder at the thought.

There is no wrong religion unless it becomes a cult. There are only wrong people running the organization sometimes. Everyone of them was organized with the intention of serving their particular God or Idol but sometimes power, influence and greed could change a leader.
It is not neccessary if you have joined the wrong religion as long as you have not done anything against the rights of your fellow human being and have not live against the laws of the God yoy beleive in. You could say this is my personal opinion because someone just said that I am opinionated but let the true religion stand and say their is the ultimate truth if there really is one.

I figure if the Eastern religions are correct, I'll be reincarnated so I'll have a second chance.
If one of the Abarahamic religions were correct, then I'd just rather go to Hell because I don't like the way the followers treat others, and I could never worship a jealous, vindictive god as described in the HB/OT.
I figure how we treat others is most important, not what religion we choose. I believe that I will be judged accordingly.

The key difference here is between those of us who believe our religion is true for US and those who believe that theirs is the ONLY truth for EVERYONE. I am secure that I am living a good, though imperfect, life. If there is some big judgment day waiting out there, I think I'll be OK. I just can't believe that any God is going to condemn billions of people who happened to grow up in a part of the world where they got a different set of beliefs on that basis. Peace, brothers and sisters, peace.

I'd rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't than to live my life as if there isn't a God and die to find out there is. Alot of religions do claim their religion is true. But that doesn't mean it is. I have been involved with alot of different religions. Onc I decided to follow Christ, my life has never been the same. He has changed my life for the better. Jesus is the way the truth and the light. No other "diety" ever performed miracles, walked on water, died for your and my sins. There may have been other men that were very wise and had very positive things to say, but when they died they had to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord...

This underscores the point that all religions and their concepts are NOT truth but, instead, should be used as tools to get to a direct experience of the truth IN THIS LIFE. The concepts and beliefs will be different but the experience (enlightenment) is universal. With that experience, concepts such as birth, death, after life, soul, etc. become meaningless; there is, then, no difference between 'living' and 'death'.

How different are you speaking approximately? once you're speaking touching directly to the version between a premillenialist and a postmillenialist or an amillenialist, then the version in theory isn't relevent, via fact it is not your eschatological ideals that get you into heaven, yet your believe in Jesus as savior. yet once you're speaking touching directly to the version between a Christian and a Buddhist, then for sure the two ideals can not get you into heaven. Buddhists do no longer even have self belief there's a heaven. So what do you do with modifications in ideals? You seem on the arguments for them and are available to the suitable determination you are able to. ideals should not be arbitrary. they could be in keeping with sound reasoning. you basically could carry out a splash learn and use your noodle. it is not unfair for God to choose people basically via fact they have been given their ideals incorrect. God does not owe salvation to each physique. He would be basically in condemning us all because we've all rebelled against him. it relatively is as a results of utilising his grace that any people are saved. So it is not unjust to for God to punish people who don't have self belief the main suitable issues.

That's an easy one. Just don't waste you're time believing in some stupid religion. Hell if you pick the wrong one you might find yourself strapping a bomb to yourself to blow up a buss full of children. Lets face it folks religion is just a make believe story to give you faith. I am spiritual, but not religious.

Religion doesn't get you into Heaven - The blood of Jesus Christ does. Religion is when people place rules and requirements on their beliefs. Jesus is not a religion, He is the way - the only way! So yes, for me I would be concerned if I were following any religion, in place of the Word of Jesus Christ.
