Because the things that Jesus said are so much higher than any way of living I could possibly imagine; He asks me to do the impossible. He asks me to love and pray for my enemies, to give up myself and follow Him, to lose myself for His sake, to lay down my life for another, to love others, to give up pride, to never return evil for evil, and on and on and on. What an impossible standard for a sinner like me. What a challenge to ask God to make me into this kind of person.

Everything I have ever admired, Jesus is. He is the perfection of all find things. He saved me. He turned my life from a big mess into a beautiful garden. I love Him more than I've ever loved anyone.

That's why I follow Him.

I believe it most accurately fits with the reality we see around us. Every reason i could give would just be an exstension of that. Look into apologetics it will deepen your faith so much. Christianity is one of the few religions that has anything like apologetics, because it's on of the few religions that can rely upon truth and the objective world to back up its claims. check out str.org

I'd tell them the truth, that it wasn't my idea it was God's. I wasn't raised in a Christian household and never went to church except for someone else's wedding for the majority of my life. But God supernaturally arranged circumstances that caused me to be in church one day and respond to the gospel message and the altar call after the sermon.

John 6:43 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Murmur not among yourselves. 44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

I have many things that I could say but I'll make it short.
It fits in everything in every way, history, the morals make everything better, the completely visible turnarounds I have seen it do to pagans and atheists, and definitely most importantly is because God chose to make me a christian.
And if that's not enough, look reeeeally hard at the alternatives. Who want's to die and that's it? How can catholicism fit with such a scrambled history and wierd ideas not well explained in scripture? Muslims reject much of scripture?? for just one man who says he had revelations from God?? then why not mormanism since they have the same thing? and so on...
How can you not if you think you are intelligent? I'll never really know.

Most Christians are Christian because that's what their parents were. That's what they were told was "true" growing up, so they still believe it into adulthood. Even if they switch churches, they usually don't bother to look outside of Christianity for spiritual truth.

Because Jesus showed up in my life. He helped me to fix what was wrong with it, and I've been truly happy ever since. Now, I'm finding it increasingly rewarding to try to follow in His footsteps by serving and loving others. He died for us to pay our debt of sin. He went above and beyond even that by teaching us to bring heaven here and now as often as possible. We've got a long way to go. I'm happy to be a part of it.

I would answer by saying that I needed God and the Lord Jesus Christ in my life because I was hurting and desperately needed God in my life. Also, Jesus Christ has saved from eternal damnation and has given me eternal life. Also, through Christ I have a personal relationship with God now.

I would answer that I have been firmly convicted of the existence of God, and all he has done, all that he is doing and all that he will yet do.

I have lived life without him in mine, and would not go back to that existence for any reason here on earth.

I could never go back to what I was. In this world I can help my fellow man and also be an instrument of God. In the next , I will be home.
