Santa, is that you? of is it the Easter Bunny?

You idiot.

Try and prove that I exist. Or that I don't exist, either way.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sometimes atheist assert that there is no proof that God exists. The only problem is that an atheist cannot logically make that claim.
In order to state that there is no proof for God's existence, the atheist would have to know all alleged proofs that exist in order to then state that there is no proof for God's existence. But, since he cannot know all things, he cannot logically state there is no proof for God's existence.
At best, an atheist can only state that of all the alleged proofs he has seen thus far, none have worked. He could even say that he believes there are no proofs for God's existence. But then, this means that there is the possibility that there is a proof or proofs out there and that he simply has not yet encountered one.
Nevertheless, if there was a proof that truly did prove God's existence, would the atheist be able to accept it given that his presuppositions are in opposition to the existence of God? In other words, given that the atheist has a presuppositional base that there is no God, in order for him to accept a proof for God's existence, he would have to change his presuppositional base. This is not easy to do and would involve a major paradigm shift in the belief structure of the atheist. Therefore, an atheist is presuppositionally hostile to any proofs for God's existence and is less likely to be objective about such attempted proofs.

Actually, no. When asked to prove that there's no toothfairy, I wouldn't respond by saying "prove to me that there is one," I'd say, "Why? How does that affect my quality of life?" Christianity has changed the quality of many lives; the toothfairy - only the lives of children. Big difference, but nice try.

However, if I was forced to dig deeper, I would say, "ask your parents who put money under your pillow when you lost a tooth." The parents would come clean. However, you cannot do the same thing in regards to creating the universe: "Mom and dad, who created the universe?" Their response would be something like, "God," or, "I don't know." Again, big difference, but nice try.

What are you doing in the "Religion and Spirituality" section anyway? Some of your atheist friends already made it perfectly clear that atheism is neither a religion nor a form of spirituality. Yet you come here and say we sound stupid and insult us and our God by calling Him "Skydaddy?"

One can not prove a null entitiy, but one may prove the spirit of the tooth fairy, and the mythology. Because it is fiction does not mean it is not real. The tooth fairy exists, and without the tooth fairy the world would be missing charm and positive energy of sharing, healing, and giving.
Many people would prefer civilization living in a totalitarian society, such as Castro, Hitler, Stalin, etc.

sky daddy ,that is good .
but who cares about tooth fairies ,lots of faries around any way.
this is part of the proof
the story of Jesus was based on the story of Horus and Osiris ,and this was a symbolic representation of the life cycle of the Sun .
its purpose was to transform Paganism to the Islamic and Christian religions

the religion was based on the humanized story ,of these cosmic bodies and their events,by the descendants (illuminati)of the Anunnaki ,who was know as the creator but who was not a God ,but no more than a learned refugee from Mars before it was knocked out of Orbit

the Illuminati used this religion to manipulate, the Adams race, which was created by the Anunnaki (through genetic engineering and cloning)to mine gold for them ,and to this day controls this race(most of us)descendants.

over the eons the symbolism was totaly lost .
the myth was strengthened by continues application of false information
(i.e Leonardi da Vinci ,was one of many, and the shroud of Turin is such an example, as was the da Vinci code, humanizing the legend)

so that by now Jesus has become a real person .
however no one ever could agree on what he should look like.

and over the centuries, artists have made up several accepted versions. of the greatest con in all of Human history

Todays allies of the Illuminati are the bilderberg group, the Round table ,U.N,the Club of Rome(Vatican).and these control the world through war and finance.
they always have done so
and their method has been by dividing Humanity in to religious, cultural ,and political oposing groups ,which are then set against one an other
the New World Order (continued from Hitler) is their baby,
Bush and Blair are their present marionettes.

as al USA presidents have been (34 of them are related to Charles the great and Charlemagne,)the leaders of this world have always been, more or less one clan, including the Roman and even Chinese Emperors ,the Pharoes, the Popes,as far back as the kings of Babylonia.

My children even recognize there is not any such ingredient because the teeth fairy. Can atheists and non believers provide up playing stupid be conscious video games? we ought to instruct no longer something. faith is depending on the Bible and faith, you merely use your little video games because you're scared to confess that lets be proper. you won't be able to admit that, this God merely might want to be actual, so that you ought to assert if technological information won't be able to instruct Him, He do not exist. In technological information type did not you study that guy has a million a lot less rib than lady? In Genesis, God places Adam to sleep to take out a million of his ribs so He can make lady from mans rib. imagine about that.

I see your point. It's stupid, indeed. But since it's the atheist the one questioning the existence of a person the onus is on him or her. It's up to you guys to come with evidences because you don't want to give faith the sligthest room. The problem is not stupid things such as the question you remember, but the fact that atheism is lagging behind the current philosophical debate (which is foundational to science) which revolves mostly around problems of faith, hunches, the spiritual realm, and so forth. Of course, Christian are just as behind since my fellow believers are still into providing "evidences." Gimme a break brothers and sisters!

I agree, there is no tooth fairy, but having had a relationship with the living Lord Jesus now for almost 37 years, and have experienced God's goodness and love, then I cannot agree with your second point.

The Bible speaks clearly for such as yourself, - let me show you!

But God shows His anger from Heaven against all sinful, wicked people who push the truth away from themselves. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively. God has put this knowledge in their hearts. From the time the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky and all that God made. They can clearly see His invisible qualities - His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse whatsoever for not knowing God.

I'd say, why ask me? I have neither asserted in this forum that the Tooth Fairy categorically does exist and neither have I asserted categorically that the Tooth Fairy doesn't exist.

However, there are plenty of atheists here who are perfectly willing to categorically deny the existence of God day in and day out. How can it be unreasonable for a believer to ask the rabid atheist to present his reasoning--assuming he has any at all?
