1)I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. In these times, what do you think would be a fair price for her?

2)Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and female, as long as they're purchased from neighboring nations. A friend claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?

3)I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?

4)My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev 19:19 by planting two different crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two different kinds of thread (cot/poly).He also tends to curse and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble of getting the whole town together to stone them? (Lev 24:10-16) Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)

Edit: If none of you believe the Old Testament, why is it included in your Bible?

Are you saying only HALF of the Bible is bullshit?

Nelita; these are legitimate questions. Just because they are difficult questions that you cannot answer does not mean that they violate Yahoo's terms of service.

Am I not the only one who sees a serious problem with Christians' answers? They say that these issues are irrelevant because the words of the Old Testament were done away with when Jesus died, however, the OT tells the story of God creating earth. If Christians choose to disregard the immoral laws of the Old Testament, then they should remain consistent and disregard the creation story as well. And let's not forget, the Ten Commandments which they want to proudly display on public areas, is part of the Old Testament.

1. Your daughter's price tag: don't ask Bible experts but Wall Street wizzards. Take into account age, her height and weight money value, education, number of teeth, IQ. Since you want to obey the old book make sure beforehand that your meet the conditions that would enable you to put your daughter out on the market.
2. No, Canadians are not exempted (awe to me,I'm a Canadian). But Canadians can conduct raids into US towns and fetch a few hot girls to bring them north of the 49th parallel for our pleasure.
3. Yes, you should kill him. But there are some constraints and the holy text clearly spelled them out. Control you wrath and bring him to the local authorities so that the whole neighbourhood can stone him to death (with real stones, mind you).
4. I'd rather have you getting the trouble of summoning local authorities and the whole town. You don't want to bring a bad reputation upon yourself and your family. After all yours is the most civilized country. So, show some decency.

Do all these and you'll be able to feel what a Muslim, Sikh or Hindu extremist feel. Pece be with you.

1) The best price for selling your daughter can be found by posting her on eBay or trolling for buyers on Craigslist.
2) Your friend is clearly smoking crack. The Bible has no particular prohibition against owning Canadians.
3) Killing your neighbor isn't necessary. If you maim him, it will render him unable to break this law any more. Have a little grace.
4) Your uncle and his wife definately need to get stoned.

By the way, why are you reading old Jewish laws?

These Bible quoits that you give are Old Testament verses. If you are a true Christian if at all they no longer apply. You make your self sound like a controlling person.
As far as number three goes. your neighbor may be from another religion that allows them to work every day o the week with out setting aside one day of the week to rest and pray. How do you know that they don't pray every day in their own homes rather than a church.
number four There is no such thing as a unnatural product as all things were made by God. they may be rare combinations or combinations of things that do not appear in nature but the materials used were still made by GOD. Right now in this physical world on this planet or another that is all we have to work with or rework for our needs is what GOD made during the creation of the Physical Universe.

To those that would argue against you with old testament versus new testament, Jesus states in the new testament:

Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Jesus strongly approves of the law and the prophets. He hasn't the slightest objection to the cruelties of the Old Testament.

"Till heaven and earth pass" - Jesus says that the Old Testament laws are binding on everyone forever.

5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven

I think you would enjoy Landover Baptist! You must truly be a True Christian TM.

5) How do you find out if a woman is having her time of "impurity?" (Lev 15:19-24) It's not an easy question to ask, as this is kind of personal to most women. You want to be careful of where you sit and if you will be "unclean" as well.

1. How old is she? Is she able to work hard all day long. $5000 would be a good starting bid.

2. I can't answer why you can't own Canadians, but if you find a way to do it....sweet.

3. Yes you are obligated.

4. I think you can do a stoneing with just a few people who wish to participate, don't think the entire town needs to be there, just go along with it.

Happy to help out. God bless, and happy trolling.

The bible is not the ultimate authority for christians, if it would be you could prove almost anything with it. It has to be interpreted, this is the task for the teaching office of the Church (Magisterium). Who is the onlyone to authoritively interpret sacred scripture. It has done this so much that it has shaped Western civilization forever, even the US, so I think your questions are a bit wierd.
God bless you.

My friend those are rhetorical questions.... If you are an Orthodox Jew then you follow the law how was written thousand of years ago, there is no slavery allow today, is illegal, you may sell your Daugherty into a prostitution ring though, the orthodoxes won't work on saturday, and will have the garment as stated in the law and follow the crop rule
