I love Jesus and Buddha. But I don't believe blindly in the religions they created.

I'm always trying to do what I believe are right. Yeah, I'm just an ordinary person and don't think I'm always right. So great persons like Jesus and Buddha taught me a lot and some religions have inspired me.

I admire all religions and think that every religion is based on just love. I can't tell which is wrong and which is right. Every religion is great.

So I'm always wondering why you smart person believes in only one specific religion. You also believe everything it says. Did you really compare it with other religions' and have decided it's right? That's another doubt I have.

In order for god to create the earth, the animals, everything, he must've had the KNOWLEDGE to do it: genetics, structuring, chemical reactions, etc. Also, to make decisions, be able to discern right from wrong, etc, he would HAVE/NEED a brain.

The brain is a physical, electrically-monitored/controlled muscle. If god is "up there" invisible and "all-seeing", we would see a huge brain flying around at least. A brain cannot be invisible because it needs to conceal the electrical pulses that tell it what to do, and an invisible skull would not allow for that.

No?

Is it inappropriate for a person who is not Catholic to cross themselves?I just think this is a very nice expression of Faith and was wondering if doing it as a Protestant was wrong or offensive to the Catholic religion. Thanks for any input.

I'm trying to reconcile the idea of the biblical God being a God who loves Humanity, and a few verses in the bible.

Consider the following:
In Genesis we have the story of Adam and Eve eating from the forbidden tree. God, in His infinite wisdom and power, decides to curse every Human with death and disease and the inheritance of the original sin (thus we are all born sinners).

Now consider that not one Human has a choice about being born, and not one Human alive had anything to do with the decisions of Adam and Eve. If we give life imprisonment (or execution) to a murderer, we do not do likewise to his/her children, and their children etc.

So how does cursing every Human since Adam and Eve with death, disease, and the inheritance of original sin demonstrate God's love for Humanity?

Guys stay away from Catastrology CAA, i ordered a product and i gave a different billing address, they accepted the order then wrote back demanding i send them a copy of my visa, a copy of my passport and a copy of my signature!!! i have ordered stuff off the net before and having a different shipping address from a billing address was never a problem. I told them to change the shipping addy to the billing addy to avoid giving out my personal details and they still insisted i give them that info! Dont you think that is abit fishy?

He got 5 loaves of bread and gave it to billions of people...I accept that this was what might have happened etc,....but what if someone was greedy and took loads of the bread, they must have had maybe a crumb or to, which would have then filled them. If a greedy guy (and there are plent yof them everywhere) took a handful, would his stomach have exploded?

Food for thought?

i respect every human being, but i feel that i have a right to criticise what people believe if i find that it goes against my thinking.
does it mean that criticising a persons beliefs means attacking that person's humanity?
i dont think so, do you?

When people say this aren't they really saying "Why doesn't everyone just believe what I do and think like I do?" If you believe and think like me the world will be a more peaceful place. Let's not fuss and fight over things that are not important (important to you that is) let's just find where we agree (you agree with me) and live together in peace (the peace I define)....

Like the pyramids, stone henge, the crop circles, extra-terrestrial life, and ways to connect to other spiritual planes? I would imagine that it would be a huge responsibility to know such things. I could also imagine it would be dangerous if people knew and werent responsible. I know the watered down version the masses get isn't 100% true and I think people are holding some things back. There are so many subtle and outright obvious messages in the media also. Where do I go next?.If in order to know these things it seems I have to imagine how the world operates with them being true(with the implications I have). If I was ready to understand these things and even if I had to take it in a piece at a time to understand the wisdom that correlates with this knowledge, what is the next step. I only want to understand and eliminate my unknowns. It is a curiosity thing and I also want to really contribute. Read some of my previous questions also.

People use the word love to loosely. I mean, what do you love? Do you think that you can love an object, time spent doing something, a person, a feeling...? I believe that we need to really think about what love is and if we really love everything that we think we do. What is it that you love? Do you put God first in your love life or does He come only when you have some room left over after everything else. Think long and hard before answering this question....What do you love?
