It sounds like mysticism, which can be controversial, but many saints believed that they achieved ecstasy through prayer. Below is a excerpt from wikipedia with the link noted in the source section.
Religious ecstasy is a state characterized by greatly reduced external awareness and expanded interior mental and spiritual awareness which is frequently accompanied by visions and emotional/intuitive (and sometimes physical) euphoria. There are many records of such experiences lasting several days, and some people claim to have experienced ecstasy over a period of three decades, or to have recurring experiences of ecstasy during their lifetime.
Religious ecstasy can be distinguished from spirit possession and hypnosis in that ecstasy is not accompanied by a loss of interior consciousness or will on the part of the subject experiencing it. Rather, the person experiencing ecstasy notices a dramatic heightening of awareness of the spiritual, and a total concentration of the will on it. If the ecstatic state comes about slowly, the subject may notice changes in his or her physiological responses. But, once brought into complete ecstasy, there is ordinarily no or very little external awareness of the physical state of the subject or the surroundings. Some external awareness remains in a partial religious ecstasy. Intense fear may accompany the initial stage of being drawn into ecstasy.

There lies the problem...It seems as though she's using a modern-day (carnal) expression to express a spiritual experience/concept.
If what she means is to obtain the satisfaction that comes through 'making love' (the closeness, intimacy, etc) well, maybe she referring to specific actions, attitudes...
I see some of the responses here say to obey, praise God and you will receive such experience...but obeying and praising God maybe is not what is being referred to here...remember 'making love' is a euphemism that refers to a carnal act of expression the love a person has towards another.
Maybe what she is referring to is the act of showing and telling God how much you love him for no other reason than just He is God. This goes beyond mere praise which extols him because of what he has done...It's unconditional. This is pure worship.
Hm...something to think about. How many of us can really say we would worship God, love God if there weren't any benefits i.e. reward of heaven; avoidance of hell; and material increase?
How many of us could 'make love' to God?

You can start by reading the book of Psalms. It tells us to sing to the Lord, praise Him, celebrate Him, etc.
If you are really interested in different ways to praise God. I would recommend that you get a copy of my pastor's book called Praising the Hell Out of Yourself. You will need to log on to his website www.ormanpress.com to order a copy.

I'm pretty sure that's not what you're supposed to be doing--but it's impossible anyway because if there were a god, it doesn't have an actual body to make love to.

O.K. it's like this.... You get naked, oil yourself up and stand on your head in your back yard with your legs spread, while you recite the 23rd psalm, then psalm 100.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
