I reckon he is BRILLIANT...

...especially cos I am catholic and can go and shoot people and badgers, and do cruel things to fish and then just go to confessional and be ABSOLVED off all my nastiness.

What are the best things you have been absolved of?

Yes I do, but I know I need to love Him more. I am not yet where I need to be. I hope in time I will get to know him better and love him more and more than myself and anyone else. In answer to your last question, the best sin I have been forgiven of is pride. That is truly the sin that seperates people from God forever.

You know, you might want to try reading scripture instead of putting all your faith in the Catholic church. Jesus came to be our high priest and to fulfuill the law. It is the time of the new covenant, the old was was abolished. No where in the new testament are we commanded to confess our sins to a priest and have him go to God for us. We can now come directly to God with our sins through Jesus Christ. He is the perfect priest. He is the only sinless man.

Check out the book of Romans for more info.

Jesus commanded us to be born again. (check out the gospel of Luke)

Because I trusted Jesus alone to be my savior when I was 12 yrs. old, I know I am his child forever and that all my sins, even the ones I haven't commited yet, are forgiven and that no matter what I am saved from sin and cannot lose my eternal salvation.

Jesus said "IF you love me, you will obey what I command".

I can't stand the Catholic religion. I don't believe in a whole lot of the things that they do and that they believe in. That is the reason I don't consider them Christian. Christian, to me, means Christ-like. It means that you strive daily to walk in the path that the Lord wants you to walk. Or you at least try. It doesn't mean that you test God and do anything and everything that you want and then go confess to someone else in the hope that they will forgive you and that everything is ok.

The Catholic religion is ridiculous.

alright look. you can't just go out and do whatever you want and expect to come back and be forgiven. life doesn't work that way. the whole point of confessional is to help you realize what you did and for you to admit to God that you know you did. the church might think you are truly sorry, but God knows your heart, and he knows that you take advantage of his forgiveness. if someone killed your best friend, husband/wife, or a close family member, then went to confessional about it, would you forgive them? you just can't do that, you're totally taking advantage of God, that implies that you DONT love him.

and yes, I love God very much.

Yes I love God. But I don't think just because you ask for forgiveness you'll go to heaven. There are other things you should do to get there and let him know you believe.
Get baptized, pray, tell others, ect.
He put you on this earth for a reason!

Which god are you talking about?
I think it's hilarious that it's okay for religious people to 'sin' because they can just go be forgiven by a priest or something. The rest of us just have to be good for the sake of being that way.

to answer your first question ~ NO !
I have been absolved of many sins. I think I've broken all 10 commandments, several of them on a daily basis. (Well, I haven't kill anyone, yet ) It's all a load of crap.
