Whenever certain Christians address atheists, it always seems to be accompanied by "I'll pray for you." We hate that. Obviously you know we don't believe in your God. The prayer in and of itself means nothing, and the fact that you throw that back just shows complete disrespect for us as people. Imagine a satanist saying they would pray for you, maybe even sacrifice a small animal. You prolly wouldn't take it seriously but it could still be extremely irritating.

Consider if we go by your standards for a moment. Assume the existence of the Christian God. All of us are sinners inately, correct? We must seek salvation from God to reverse this. So if you continue to pray for us and all this does is further alienate us, (which it does) does this mean you're actually contributing to our damnation instead? If people have free will (I forget if that is assumed) God can't do anything about it and the only effect is negative.

If God doesn't exist, all is moot.

Why do people keep it up?

a man is born and raised in a peacefull village. one day he is kidnapped and forced to walk over 200 miles to the coast. many of his relatives die along the way. he is chained up and put on a smelly boat and cast out to sea. he watches many others get sick and die while at sea. those bodies are tossed in the ocean like yesterday's trash. after many weeks at sea he is "sold" and forced to work on a plantation. while fed an unhealthy diet, he gets beaten if he doesn't work hard enough. his master tries to convert him to a religion that tells him that he must work extra hard because his slavemaster is a christian. as a result of this he rejects christianity. does he burn in hell forever and ever and ever and ever, etc. amen?

please don't say "only God knows" c'mon. EARN those points!

One person sings a line. The group of people with him/her reapeats the same line but they stretch it out. And it is NOT singing in rounds. It's like old timey hymn type music. And it is done accapella. Can anyone help me figure out what it is called so I can look it up so my girlfriend can hear it? It IS done with religious music and I have never heard it done with music with it...just accapella.

God has killed millions of humans with a flood. He got upset at a teacher (Lucifer) for giving Adam and Eve knowledge. He states that he gave his only child to die for our sins, yet Jesus was a human… If there is an afterlife, then what kind of sacrifice is dying? Really??? If there is an afterlife then death is nothing. What good is a death for our sins if there is an afterlife??? It doesn’t make sense! If you look at the old testament, Satan does a whole lot of good and God did a whole lot of evil. Read it and understand!

I'm curious, because whenever I go to Barnes & Noble, I find books about Bigfoot and Loch Ness under the same section as all the New Age Spirituality stuff. Are these phenomena seen in a larger spiritual context? Or do Cryptzoological animals just get lumped in with UFO's for lack of a better section?
I know to many this may seem a wacky question, but I'm asking it very sincerely, I hope I hear from some of you New Age folk to give me a real answer.

A Jehovah's Witness pestered my household on a continuous basis for just short of five years. As I recall, about the first time she made her appearance was during Christmas dinner. She came back on a weekly basis soon after that encounter. We told her we were not interested and asked her not to come back. I admit that we may have made criminal threats, because of our extreme level of frustration and exasperation. However, shortly after, she would be back at our door, staring us brazenly and defiantly in the face.

Finally, one day someone in the household said to her, "I know why you're here, and I know why you're here on this day! I know who sent you here too, the one who showed up at the same time as you."

That display of words frightened her, and she never returned.

It is true that she showed up about the same time as a convert relative who had visited after a long absence. As for the date, all I can think of is the autumn equinox. Could she have been a Druid?

If I was born in China 1000 years ago, when Christianity did not exist in China, how would I choose to reject the Christian God if I knew nothing of his existence? Would I go to hell for not believe in the Christian God, or would I go to heaven because I can't reject the Christian God since I don't know of his existence?

Am I predestine for Heaven or Hell based on when and where I was born?

You die! Just like all of the people who agree with atheism! We're very into being inclusionary.

Not so for religions. Disagree, and your sent for eternal punishment.

Who's more accepting now?

Mohammed's sexual strength is equal to 30 men.

Anas said, "The prophet used to visit all his wives in an hour round, during the day and night and they were eleven in number." I asked Anas, "Had the prophet the strength for it?" Anas replied, "We used to say that the prophet was given the strength of thirty (men). " Vol. 1:268

Mohammed married a 9 year old girl.

"Narrated Aisha that the prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old."Vol. 7:64

Allah hurries to please Mohammed's sexual desires.

When the Quranic verse that allows Mohammed to postpone the turn of any wife was revealed, and when Mohammed said that Allah allowed him to marry his adopted son's wife, Aisha (one of his wives) told him, "O Allah's Apostle I do not see but that your Lord hurries in pleasing you. " Vol. 7:48

When a woman is divorced irrevocably, she can not return to her husband until she marries (including having sexual intercourse) with another man.

"Narrated Aisha: The wife of Rifaa Al-Qurazi came to Allah's Apostle and said, 'O Allah's Apostle, Rifaa divorced me irrevocably. After him I married Abdur-Rahman bin Az-Zubair Al-Qurazi who proved to be impotent.' Allah's Apostle said to her, 'Perhaps you want to return to Rifaa? Nay (You cannot return to Rifaa) until you and Abdur-Rahman (the impotent man) engage in sexual intercourse!" Vol. 7:186

I'm rephrasing an earlier question:

If muslims know that the God who Abraham and Isaac, and Moses and Noe worshipped was (and is) Jehovah, how come the say His name is Allah?

The Jews DENY Jesus, Us christians accept Jesus (of Course), And the muslims accept Jesus too. (Even if only as a prophet Jesus was sent to us as a prophet after all so I think thats better than nothing) The Jews were the Enemy of our beloved Jesus THEY put him on the cross! Now look at us... Us The mostly christian Nations are supporting the Jews and the Muslims are fighting them! When Jesus comes wont he be disappointed to see us, his christian Nation, supporting his enemies, and the Muslims fighting them...?
