Revelation isn't a Chapter, its a Book.
It IS to be taken LITERALLY, well for some parts, LOL, however not JUST anyone can understand it, as it says in The Book of Revelation, Ch. 1:3; "Happy is he who reads aloud and UNDERSTANDS these word." So without Gods divine guidance and grace (which only someone with a humble heart and forgiveness of sins and a forgiving spirit would HAVE) your just NOT GONNA "GET IT." Sorry, this means ALMOST EVERYONE. ::SIGH::

Of course the fact that they hav removed the line that says it was all a dream doesn't help either. All those fundamentalist religions that base their whole theory on revelations are following nothing but an ergot induced dream. And who was this John, anyway< was it the bishop who claimed to bea follower of Paul who was kicked out of thechurch for murdering his wife and another women because they didn't bow down to him, and then later went on to spend time with Mohammed?

Revelation contained a lot of figurative language. Probably more than any other book in the bible. Most of it isn't to be taken literally.

Serious Christian Bible scholars have a rough time deciphering this book.
Your guy doesn't have a clue.
It's really easy to dismiss something or to scoff at it. It's a lot harder to discover the truth.

You know if you only took " half the time "it took to read this piece of garbage to read a "part of the bible" you would be so much better off. And with a much better chance of making it to Heaven. I will pray for your soul.

The Jewish historian, Josephus, might take issue with that concept.
Josephus recorded events of his day and they are considered history books today. His writings included a small section about Jesus having lived and being crucified for his teachings.
