I'm curious, because whenever I go to Barnes & Noble, I find books about Bigfoot and Loch Ness under the same section as all the New Age Spirituality stuff. Are these phenomena seen in a larger spiritual context? Or do Cryptzoological animals just get lumped in with UFO's for lack of a better section?
I know to many this may seem a wacky question, but I'm asking it very sincerely, I hope I hear from some of you New Age folk to give me a real answer.

I think it gets grouped into that area because some people believe that it is fiction, like most new age stuff that they consider unworthy of reading, lol.

I like browsing through the New Age section when I have the spare time, you can find some really interesting books there.

Folk lore and a creature yet to be found. I see people out in the street who are pretty weird and run into them in my job. This could be a form of cryptology if I try to categorize them and give them name and call them mutants. I think I can write a book on this.

The city of mutants. You see them in line at Dunkin Donuts, drooling wearing the same clothes they had on the last time you saw them but want is there real life?

Asides the book store is a store not a knowledgeable categorizer of everything in the world.

I'm not a new ager, but they are probably misplaced. Cryptozoology would belong in the science section, as it deals with the science of reported but unconfirmed animals.
