2 KINGS chapter 2 - 23 Elisha left Jericho and went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, a group of boys from the town began mocking and making fun of him. "Go away, you baldhead!" they chanted. "Go away, you baldhead!"
24 Elisha turned around and looked at them, and he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of them.

Do my atheist friends forgive my silliness early in life?

First of all, let me "say" that the Christian faith WILL ofend some people. There is no getting around that. And, there are many Christians who still need to learn to reach out in LOVE, and be more sensitive. With that said, as a Christian, there are things I feel is being forced down MY throat, that some people never take into consideration. What about these???Homosexuality? It's in commercials, TV shows, print ads, etc. But, if Christians complain, they are often simply told "if you don't like it, don't watch, read, etc.? BUT, if the Christian message in some way is comunicated, we're "forcing religion". "In God We Trust"? This country was founded on God, but now we want to take HIM off signs, money, etc. To me, that's forcing an idea to put God aside...yep, That's forcing a beliefe on ME. And, if you say "seperation of chuch and state, do a study of what that truly means. Soap Operas?...imorality, sexual content?
What about what's forced on US?

According to an answer I received on another question:

"In Heaven, things will different from of Earthly bond bodies. The will not be a sexual bodily difference in Heaven. We will be sort of unisex or no sex more like. So there would not be dating or sexual attraction, sorry!"

LAME. Why would I WANT to go to heaven if that's how it is? The only good thing in this world is sex and sexual attraction. You're going to take that away and call it heaven? Forget it! Hell for me, please.

Because my best friends other friend was asking me about my being gay recently, and then when I walked away she was whispering about to my friend. I thought they were saying that I might change because Im still young? They are both Arabic/Islamic and I was wondering if that had something to do with it.

The big argument here is that the Gospels were written when eyewitnesses could be reached or at least consulted to verify the accuracy. Since almost all serious biblical scholars (who are themselves Christians -- because who else would dedicate their lives to that), think that the first gospel, Mark, was not written until about 60 even 130 years after Christ died, why would he use that argument? Before you answer that I am wrong, look it up online.

I mean really.. Anyone in their Right mind, knows the worlds population didnt come from One man and One woman. Look at Evolution... There is more proof of that than there ever has been about religious ways.. Get out of the Cult while you can and worry more about what we as humans are doing to destroy this world and help fix it , rather than praying and asking some being to do it. But I do believe in the Spirit world, just not the BIBLE world. No way.

when god created adam and eve he had a master plan for all human kind then the fallen angel lucifer (devil) manipulated eve into doing the very thing he told them not to do eat the apple from the tree of knowledge and now we are all sinners who need to be right with god if we are to have eternal life and be forgiven!

I hear everyone complaining about Israel bombing southern lebanon, but what I haven't heard are viable alternatives. In fact, the two alternatives I've heard is...
a) Pressure the lebanese gov't to oust hezbollah.
reply) The tried and the lebanese gov't basically said that they can't (or wouldn't) do that

b) Ask the neighborhoods to push hezbollah out so that israel could bomb them away from their cities.
reply) I couldn't believe someone actually proposed this as it is rather absurd. Firstly, most lebanse support hezbollah. Secondly, how the hell are they going to force hezbollah out?

Hezbollah intentionally hides in populated areas because they know israel is hesitant to attack there (while they are NOT hesitant to fire rockets into apartment buildings, for example).

So what options does israel have left? Should they just continue to let this terrorist militia murder their people?

Okay, am confused, Jesus was born to a virgin, I get that, Jesus can't be born to sinners and Mary wasn't a sinner, and neither was her mother, but what about her mother's mother? And after that? Jesus can't be born to sinners, right? Were all her ancestors virgins or something? O_o How is that possible?
So eventually, Jesus was born to sinners then, if the sin of a parent passes down to their child, was Jesus a sinner?
Pardon me, I'm just confused after talking to an atheist, I was really agnostic about all this, but this really caught my attention can someone clear this up for me? Can God's son be a sinner? Technically, he is, since all of Mary's ancestors obviously got it on at some point and thus led to mary, but how is this possible?
