I respect religions, but... don´t you think that if God is supposed to love us he would like some of his "sons" die... I mean...where is the love?

I was faced with the situation of having to have a blood transfusion, I was given 36hrs to live they said if I did not recieve a transfusion I would die. I refused and left my life in Jehovahs' hands, and I am still alive w/o the blood, I was given beet, carrot, and celery juice that was made for me for approx:3days I drank a gallon my hemoglobin was 4 at the time and by the time I left the hospital it was 9 high enough for mr to be out of danger, and I could go home. And the doctors said I would leave the hospital in a pine box and that I would not make it. Well I am alive and well. If you do research you will find that there are many many blood substitutes that can be used, but are expensive and since everything is about being cost effective, blood is cheaper, and there are no guarantess that if you take blood you will survive, thats why you sign a forn releasing the doctors and hospital of any responsibility if you don't make it or if some problem arises if you take the blood. And NO I would not give or let my children have a TRANSFUSION. No we do not want to see our children die but we know that if they do we have a promise from a loving God that we will see them again in the resurrection that Jehovah has promised .Also the doctors gave me iron shots for 10 days,I am sure that that helped also. .

i am not Jehovah witnesses but i do believe that Dr. would only give your children a blood transfusion if it was a life and death things, so if you are okay with your child's death then don't do it, but my daughter has had 2 open heart surgeries and she has had many blood transfusion and she is only 10 months old now, but i would not change my decision for the world because she is still here with me now and i will do anything to keep her safe and happy and well.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not accept blood or blood products in keeping with the command to abstain from blood, Acts 15:20,29. Blood is not necessary, there are at least 64 non blood products that are available in the place of blood. Doctors are now aware that blood prolongs healing, raises the risk of infection, is not 100% guaranteed to be free of diseases and there is still no guarantee that you will live and your last act would be one of disobeying God. We seek the best medical care that we can find for ourselves and our children, we will not disobey God on the matter though. Because of the stance of Jehovah's Witnesses on the command of abstaining from blood new bloodless surgeries have been pioneered to the benefit of all as there are many non witnesses who do not want blood as well. God says that life is in the blood and is holy. It was the spilling of Christ Jesus' blood in ransom sacrifice that makes it possible to gain everlasting life, do we want to belittle that sacrifice by not holding to God's standard of blood being only used in sacrifice because it is holy?

Jehovah's Witness parents love their children dearly, and work to pursue the best medical care available for their children. Witnesses actually *DO* accept transfusions, whenever they are compatible with nonblood medical management.

they dont have blood transfusions because in the past doctors give infected blood. and the bible says they should have their bodies clean. If their kids die....theyre going to be resurrected.

No they rather let their kids die. My friends mother-in-law is a JW and she was pissed off when he got hit by a car bomb in Iraq and the Army gave him blood. She would rather have a dead son-in-law than have him get blood. I think it is more of a cult than a religion because you would have to be drinking the Kool-Aid to buy that crap.
