YES, YES, and YES!!! Some people say that all religion is, but Christianity is worse than all of the others combined.

It is a top contender.. The Hebrews worshipped Elohim at one time, but Moses (perhaps influenced by Ikhnaten or Akhnaton the first monotheist) made the Sinai Covenant to put Yahweh above other gods. This religion became Judaism. Christianity is an offshoot that says Jesus was the Messiah, while Judaism disagrees. Mohammed or Muhammad goes along with the two earlier systems, but he says the Quran or Koran is the final word of Allah. These religions are too much alike, so they cannot peacefully coexist. Who ever heard of a Buddhist holy war? We do not need the centuries of crusades and jihads that have needlessly cost thousands of lives. If Christianity isn't worst, Islam is tied with it.

The Crusades were protective, no longer offensive. They were meant to take care of the eastern Christians from the Muslim invaders.... even if, they ended up sacking Constantinople, raping women persons, and killing human beings. which could have sucked huh? the folk helping you are available and loot all thats left of your empire, rape your women persons, kill some (with suggestions from some I recommend plenty) human beings, and than the Pope yells at you on your movements of looting the position..(Jerk). besides, the Crusades had little, to no longer something to do with the Gospel. The Crusades had sturdy target, ended up incorrect, why? because perchance you need to are transforming into diverse infantrymen that weren't pricks (oops). As for the Inquisitions (would not it even sound like a grimy be conscious?): The Inquisitions were better about cleansing up the Heretics in the Church fairly than outdoors the Church (i ask your self why the hell you need to worry doing this once you're kinda at conflict.....i wager conflict develop into merely the norm?). even if, I nonetheless do not condone it. And 9/11: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH? :o The hell did I do on 9/11? @i love ?ALLAH?- merely because someone ought to correctly be of that faith, does no longer mean there a representative of that faith, or makes it a religious reason. i do not blame The Islamic Conquests on you, do I? ok, perchance a touch (merely Kidding).even if i do not recognize once you're joking, or being serious.

Religion as a whole...Possibly, along with government...

Both are institutions foistered on us by our parents and community. I often wonder how many christians, or other religious types really take the time to examine the beginings of their faith AND others as well. How can you say someone else is wrong if you haven't heard their message? In reality, religions are a hold over from the ancient world, meant to gather people to a form of government. (Don't believe me? Do some research on the Roman catholic churchs origins. It is the power house it is today due to the Roman governments official adoption as the state religion. Judaism and other religions of the time (including most of the other christian sects) allowed you to practice your religion on your own. The catholic religion had to be practiced in a church with a preist to guide you.)

PS - Sitting too close to the TV will NOT make you go blind, yet millions of people think that is the case because their mothers told them so.

Those who choose to use Christianity as a vehicle for their bigotry and hatred would find something else if Christianity wasn't there. Don't forget thet the religion is only 2,000 years old, but people had been wiping each other out in the name of something else long before that: The Romans, Mesopotamians, Greeks, all existed before Christianity. I am sure that you will not find any comfort in this reply and will have to find another rabid bigot to support your views.

No.
Go to the library and get a chronological history of the world and browse through it. Christianity brought civilization to the countries in which it is followed. It is not always followed well, and admittedly some have been barbaric in enforcing Christian beliefs, but you must admit that they violate those beliefs when they do so.
Try to distinguish the teachings of Christ from the ancient practices of the old testament, too. Some denominations see no distinction, but it is there.

Yes and no. Yes because throughout the history of Christianity it has caused violence, death, lies, and hatred... but no because it has also given people hope who otherwise would have none. Without hope you would be left with desperation, and desperation leads to the ills of society. (violence, murder, robbery, etc.) It also has told people what to think who cant think for themselves, which is something an orderly society needs. So I think the benefits out-weigh the negatives. Just think what would happen to all the weak-minded desperate people if they didn't have religion to keep them sane!!! I suppose this applies to all organized religion and not just Christianity.

No... The arguments over the validity of something as personal as ones choice of faith is the worst thing to happen in this forum.

The worst thing to happen in the history of mankind would be the senseless and often blatant exploitation of the worlds children due to the perverts and their needs of the sex trade.

"Better for you to have a rock tied around your neck and you drowned in the depths of the sea then for you to harm one of these little ones who I love." GOD!

If God says stuff like this to people like that... I'm good with God!

Honey, In my humble opinion, you're priorities are just a bit screwed and you're questions are lame considering! NEXT!

No it is not.
Ignorant, arrogant people is the worst. It is they who take and twist things around to suit their purpose, and then scream, oh we are so righteous, we are doing this and that for our religion, even killing innocent people for our God/or Allah. We are just doing it for him. Oh, please get real. People are doing it for them, not for their God. and as soon as they stop blaming religion, the sooner we are better off.

NO, Christianity is a teaching to love one another, and People who use it to get their way are the worst in mankind.
