I get asked this on yahoo answers so I thought I'd start to post some of the reason's I believe in God. I've thought about this and I've come up with about 20 reasons and I'll post a few in the coming days.

Please feel free to comment!

Several years ago I was going through a terrible time. I was on my way to Church and I was getting gas. As I was filling my car I noticed I was singing and felt happy...I asked God why do I feel happy I should be down...that still small voice said" because I am reining in your life"
I went to Church and afterwards went for prayer, and a lady prayed over me and said: I don't know why I want to say this but I feel the need to tell you "God is reining all over you" That
happened about an hour after getting gas!

That's another of dozens of reason's I know he loves me!

Your thought's or criticism welcome

Do you still belive after you read this that it was god that old abrham to kill his son

One of the prevalent myths is that Muhammad was the founder of Islam.
Although Islam, total submission to God alone, is the only religion recognized by God since the time of Adam (3:19, 85), Abraham is reported in the Quran as the first user of the word "Islam" and the one who called us "Muslims" (22:78).
Abraham's exemplary submission to God is demonstrated by his famous willingness to sacrifice his only son, Ismail, when he thought that that was God's command. As it turns out, such a command was in fact from Satan.

God Never Ordered Abraham to Sacrifice His Son
God is the Most Merciful. He never violates His own law (7:28). Any person who believes that the Most Merciful ordered Abraham to kill his son cannot possibly make it to God's Heaven. Such evil thought about God is grossly blasphemous.
Nowhere in the Quran do we see that God ordered Abraham to kill his son. On the contrary, God intervened to save Abraham and Ismail from Satan's plot (37:107), and He told Abraham: "You believed the dream" (37:105). Undoubtedly, it was a dream inspired by Satan. God's irrevocable law is: "God never advocates sin" (7:28)

The council of narcea (whatever it was called) and constantine was responsible for what christians were to believe. They said that this gospel is in and this one is out for whatever their purpose was.

Currently With so many different beliefs just within christianity, should we now have another council of Narcea or whatever it was called, and have a new Constantine to tell you what to believe???????

That should put things back on track again, dont ya think??

Man made religions made to suit.

Yep that aught to work a treat. Especially with the Mussers

The God I serve is a loving God so too is my Savior. I am wondering why we are told to spread love but often it comes across more as judgement and hate than love. Surely that is not what we mean to spread.
Peace Be With You,

some people believe esp in native american cultures in most countries, that our spirits contain similar qualities to those things animals plants and other living things/ that exist in nature. example~~I like Dragons (they are protective and mythical and fierce and eternal)~~In the hawaiian culture we have animal spirits, protective gaurdians that are around us and protect us called "aumakua's" sometimes we wear a symbol of this aumakua~(specific to our family) ~in the shape of the animal as an amulet~~or carry a totem, with us for luck~~~and to remind us of our connections on a spiritual level,

Isn't unbelief one of the types of sin for which he died? My belief is that he only died for the "chosen" (or the "elect").

There is a book by a lengendry Japanese swordsman known as Miyamoto Musashi who wrote a book called 'a book of 5 rings' which apparently refers to something in buddhism. I have tried Googling it but got nowhere does anyone here know what they are?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miyamoto_Musashi

The book is well worth reading BTW it has been translated into English and can be found as an e-book on the web.

A good friend of mine died last Tuesday. It happened very suddenly and very tragicly. I won't go into details. I didn't find out untill last night, and so missed the memorial that was held Wendsday.

I want to do something to remember my friend. Some small cerimony, some gesture of love and loss, to give me closure... I've known this guy since I was a sophmore in high school. He used to act in my film projects and steal my shoes at lunch. He'd only just graduated high school... people this young arn't supposed to die...

Sorry, I'm... it's hard to type when you're crying.

Any ideas of what I should do? My friend wasn't Christian and neither am I, so I'd like some non-religion-specific way to honor him.

And the first person who tells me he's gone to Hell because he didn't accept Jesus will get a beating so bad your ancestors will feel it. I am in a rather emotional, unstable mood right now and do not feel like argueing with anyone.

My husband has tried desperately to find a full time job for over 3 years now. There is very few jobs he's not able to do...fast paced, heavy lifting, and certain skilled trades. He is willing to learn & is taking some continuing ed. classes at the community college. Due to my health over the last few years, I've not been able to work for long at a time. I've been out a year and just applied to Bayada Friday (I'm a nurse). I will get the job if my references come back okay, otherwise I wont. He has many applications out there and needs one to finally say yes. Can you please add us to your prayer chain or prayer list in Sunday school? We are the Evers family in NC. Thank you!

There isn't a single solitary person who will answer this question who HAS died, COME BACK and can now tell us with any actual authority what the rest of us can expect.

It's all speculation and "the word" handed down by men from more than 1.75 millennia ago, looking for ways to subjugate the masses, especially women. Isn't there anyone with enough integrity to at least admit they don't KNOW anything for certain?
