God not only didnt forget, he is also working on re-creation of the world... a new people with new hearts in a new Jerusalem of people who glorified God by leaning on the work of His Son on the cross, believing for eternal life.
He didnt forget, he is patient and longsuffering, you are confusing patients with inaction
