Isn't unbelief one of the types of sin for which he died? My belief is that he only died for the "chosen" (or the "elect").

Hell--

Figurative of the torment of those who willfully disobey God.

In latter-day revelation hell is spoken of in at least two senses. One is the temporary abode in the spirit world of those who were disobedient in this mortal life. It is between death and the resurrection, and persons who receive the telestial glory will abide there until the last resurrection (D&C 76:84-85,106), at which time they will go to the telestial glory. In this sense the Book of Mormon speaks of spiritual death as defined, will have an end, when all the captive spirits have paid the price of their sins and enter into a degree of glory after their resurrection. Statements about an everlasting hell (Hel.6:28:Mor 8:13) must be interpreted in their proper context in the light of D&C19:4-12, which defines eternal and endless punishment.

On the other hand, the devil and his angels, including the sons of perdition, are assigned to a place spoken of as a lake of fire-- a figure of eternal anguish. This condition is sometimes called hell in the scriptures (2Peter4:D&C29) :38;88:113). This kind of hell, which is after the resurrection and judgment, is exclusively for the devil and his angels, and is not the same as that consisting only of the period between death and resurrection. The one group are redeemed from hell and inherit some degree of glory. The other receive no glory. They continue in spiritual darkness. For them the conditions of hell remain.

Soooooooooo. Bottom line hell is spiritual darkness.

Jesus did die for the unbelief of men, but moreso that men believe. Where there is no repentence mercy cannot intervene therefore man must pay the price or God cannot be just. The free gift of Jesus's atonement is immortality which we will all receive, new resurrected bodies. However, eternal life in the presence of God has different requirements. All men will be judged and assigned to kingdoms of glory.

While Jesus died on the cross for all of us His death is not carte blanche forgiveness for all. The scriptures say we must conciously decide we want Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, pray the sinners prayer, and be baptized (total emersion). We are then born again into the family of God. Baptism isn't absolutely necessary, however it is an outward, public statement of an inward belief. Also baptism represents dying to the old self, and and being reborn a new person. If we do these things according to scripture, we are then saved.

Some will learn who Jesus is and what He demands and STILL choose not to follow Him. These are the ones headed for Hell. His sacrifice CAN cover any and all sins ever comitted, past, present, future. But the sacrifice is only sufficient to those who choose to be covered by His death. So the choice is still with the sinner. Like being caught in the rain and knowing that there is a house with an open door available to all who enter the open door. If one chooses not to go in he will get wet. Just because God knows which choice someone will make doesn't mean He made them make that choice.

Just as you know what happened in the past doesn't mean you caused what happend in the past. God sees the past, present, and future.

Yes, people should not go to hell.

But they choose to.

Jesus love is for all, so is his blood. But the bible says, it was Abraham's faith that saved him (Gensis 15).

In Habakkuk, again God taught us that it is by faith that we are justified.

So, in the same way, people must believed in the blood of the lamb, that was slain for them. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Cain was that kind, who does not believe in God's instruction that he accept the burn offering of a lamb only, and Cain offered up vegatable. So he was not accepted.

It is take simple.

Drug is created for people who have sickenss. Who ever is sick, they can take certain drug and be heal. No point having the drug in the pocket, and think you will be heal.

Same theory.

I wish you well.

Yes, he died for our sins. But it is gift we have to accept from him. If we do not believe in him, we have not accepted his gift of eternal life The Bible says believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

Because we have free choice. You must receive what Jesus did for all of us on the cross to receive eternal life. Some people choose to reject the LORD and to continue to serve the devil and go the the place that was created for the devil and his fallen angels, which are now demons who continue to lie to persons.

you know, Jesus was an example and led many to believe, but those who don't believe, what are you to do with them, besides, you have to accept God into your life, and Jesus gave you a second chance for that, because he got rid of your sins.... would you really want to go to heaven if you didn't believe in God? seriously, God runs heaven, and the world... and why go to heaven if you don't accept into him... its almost a give and take there

He did die for the sins of the whole world, but it is the choice of each one of us to accept the payment or not. Those who don't accept, go to hell.

Because they refuse to Believe that he is the son and that who so ever believes in him shall have everlasting life, they need to also repent of their sins and turn from their wicked ways and be Baptisted
