The God I serve is a loving God so too is my Savior. I am wondering why we are told to spread love but often it comes across more as judgement and hate than love. Surely that is not what we mean to spread.
Peace Be With You,

True I said many and all of us have sinned but whenever I say all someone complains that I am judging and generalizing.

The main reason this happens is because we have been brought up to believe in a judgmental punishing God.
Most of us are silly enough to think that this god we invented judges the same silly way that we do. So we imagine that this god hates the people who do the things that we don't like just like we do.
We then call these people the bad people so we can have someone to feel better than.
We make up fantasies of justice that sees this silly god we have created punishing the bad people we also created so we can see ourselves as superior to these so-called bad people.
All of this takes place within the context of our thoughts. None of it has any real bearing on the real unconditionally loving God that sees all of as being his/her precious children.
Love and blessings.

I think too many Christians have fallen for this "judge not" mentality preferred by atheist. When the bible says "judge not lest ye be judged" it means that we should not judge others as unworthy to receive salvation since we ourselves are not worthy. We should share the gospel with everyone. Unfortunately, too many Christians think it means that we are not supposed to judge right from wrong. I see it all the time on here. If we cannot judge right from wrong, what do we ask to be forgiven for? If we don't know what is wrong, what do we repent from? If it is all subjective why would we need a savior? The point is that we are to judge right from wrong. We do need to repent and we do need a savior. Over the last couple of decades this false doctrine of relativism has moved into our churches. Someone needs to speak up. Atheist have had free reign on this for years. Now people standing against their lies are perceived as hateful. I admit that at times I lack the gentleness that I should use. But, I will not stop just because I am not perfect. Please feel free to correct me as needed.

Debra,
Peace be with you also. I asked that same question to my priest, and he told me that God does not make people do horrible things, or pass judgment on others. Human beings have free will, and they do these things. People who go to church and then don't do what God wants them to, are hypocrites, and have to answer for themselves in the end.

Debra, good question. I too see many Christians portraying what my look like hate and is simply coined "intolerance" by the world. However, there is exceptions, some "self-proclaimed" Christians give Christianity a bad name by them using the term Christian to label themselves and use it to suit their own agendas. That's NOT what Jesus taught us. We always must humble ourselves into submission to His Holy will and consider everyone else better then us.
Remember, God gives grace to the humble but despises the proud.

Those who are perishing will look at anything you say as judgment...when in fact...they have been judged already by Jesus...
John 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.
It is because of love that I spread the gospel, because of love I don't want to see anyone perish...it would be hate if I didn't warn you.

First thing first, you said above "many of us" no, for ALL have sinned and fallen short of the kingdom of God" The problem lies in the heart, for God will remove the heart of stone and give you a new heart IF YOU ASK, for then it is NOT you that lives but CHRIST living IN YOU, not by your own might, nor by your own power, but BY MY SPIRIT says the Lord. free bible lessons www.itiswritten.com God bless ya

Well, you know some people are humans and we're definitly unperfect- those words you say are nice- and I completely agree with you! But, remember a lot of people are still babies in their faith and need to grow some fruits of the spirit. Maybe you can help them.

We tend to allow our egos and emotions to get in the way. If one wants to spread the gospel, he/she should do it straight from the bible without letting personal opinions/judgments get in the way. Just read to them what the bible says.
