The word "faith" seems to link alot of gray spots in religion. Say a baby survived a nuclear war and grew up on its own. He/She lived here on its own. In the nuclear war the bible, churches everything having to do with religion was destroyed. Do you think she would worship the same God people do today or start worshiping the sun or the moon? Maybe worshiping will never come into play. Without knowledge of other people I would have never heard of religion.

The microbiology teacher I had in college is Catholic and she told us that her love for science never affected her love for God. Do you feel that once you started an in depth study of science it began to shake your faith?

I grew up Roman Catholic, and I've allways believed in God, and still do, and had no reason to doubt that Jesus wasn't Gods son. But now a days, I find it hard to believe that he was gods son for some reason. We are just taught to assume and believe that he was Gods son from the bible, which is all written by followers of Jesus Christ. Anyways, when are time is up and we all find out what happens afterwards, could it be possible that God will be upset with us because many people worshipped A human named Jesus instead of him? i know jesus went through a lot of pain and suffering and was crucified for out sins, but that doesn't prove he was gods son though. Had Jesus lived to be an old man and died naturally, no one would have believed he was Gods son, and by getting crucified he actually solidified what he had been preaching and became immortilized throughout. Bottom line is I Belive in God, but I don't want to dishonor him by believing a human was his son. BC, it was just god.

Freedom of religion does not include freedom from ridicule. If by the fruit of your labors I can judge your beliefs, then clearly far too many people have suffered and remain suffering in the bloody whirlwind of theistic tyranny and persecution.

My wife and I have been worship leaders in our church for a little over a year now and have been challenged by our Pastor to take our church to the next level in worship. I've been the number 2 man my whole life and am struggling with finding new, fun, and interesting music to do. What's worse, I don't know what is considered "in" right now and need some help. Anyone who is a Worship Leader or Christian leader please throw me a bone. I thought I was doing things the way they were supposed to and agree now that we need to Passionately move forward, but I dunno how to do that.

Not only music, but book recommendations as well would help. Lendale Cooley (sp?) I know has a book my pastor has suggested.

Thanks everyone for answering!!

Oh, I'm 23 and my wife 22. So we're supposed to be the Young Energetic Types...

As a christian I have had many miracles happen to me. Some are: I have said one word and made a very religious woman fall to the ground. I have spoken in touges many many times. I have had prophetic words, visions, and dreams. I am Spiritually conect to some one and have felt them filled with the holy spirt when I was in Arkansa and they were in Ohio.
What miracles have happend to u that could have only come from God?

I mean, she could have found out that she was knocked-up by some Roman dude she had a one night stand with and just made the whole thing up to cover her indiscretion, and keep from being killed for adulterous behavior. And, Joseph played along to keep her out of trouble and because he loved her and forgave her? Just a thought...
