I grew up Roman Catholic, and I've allways believed in God, and still do, and had no reason to doubt that Jesus wasn't Gods son. But now a days, I find it hard to believe that he was gods son for some reason. We are just taught to assume and believe that he was Gods son from the bible, which is all written by followers of Jesus Christ. Anyways, when are time is up and we all find out what happens afterwards, could it be possible that God will be upset with us because many people worshipped A human named Jesus instead of him? i know jesus went through a lot of pain and suffering and was crucified for out sins, but that doesn't prove he was gods son though. Had Jesus lived to be an old man and died naturally, no one would have believed he was Gods son, and by getting crucified he actually solidified what he had been preaching and became immortilized throughout. Bottom line is I Belive in God, but I don't want to dishonor him by believing a human was his son. BC, it was just god.

Alot of people believe that Jesus was just a a messenger. He had good things to say and brillinant lessons to teach. I think it was the ignorance of the people at the time that turned him to a god like figure and has ditorted his whole purpose of being here and teaching what he taught.

What I was understanding from your question was that you didn't believe Jesus should be worshipped in the place of God. And you are totally correct. I am going to provide you with a link that answers the question, Who is Jesus Christ? I think you will find the article enlightening if you will actually take the time to read it.

Jesus never asked anyone to worship Him, He always pointed people to the Father. Read the places in the Bible where Jesus was asked about his own deity, He always refers to the Father. Therefore, you are right, we should worship God the Father, but we have not seen Him, and cannot know him, except through his Son, Jesus. Jesus is now our advocate to the Father. Jesus does not want your worship, He wants you to worship the Father. And by the way, unless Jesus rose from the grave, we are of all men most miserable in our religion.

I understand your thoughts. God being a Spirit and not a man , yet I know Gods ways are far advanced than out thinking will ever be. But being conceived by the Holy Spirit. would only give life to the Spirit, The flesh was Man. but some times I consider, on the cross when they stuck Jesus with the Spear. the unbelievers saw something that made them believe. and I wander what it was.

There are enough Scripture to back up that Jesus was the Son of God. I really don't believe in Catholic beliefs due to the idol worshiping and the pope stuff. But you need to read the bible yourself and go to a church that you can see what they say is backed up by scripture

In order to believe in God it is necessary to accept the whole Person of God. The bible does record many prophecies that direct one to the conclusion that the coming Messiah would both be God and man. Example: After Adam and Eve ate the apple in disobedience to God's Word, God promised them that (her) seed would crush the serpent's head. Her "seed" references to Jesus as being human; the crushing of Satan's head (being that Satan is a spiritual creation) would and could only come from God, who is a Spirit. Therefore, the only person able to defeat Satan could only be God. Thus, Jesus is both God and man. This is called hypostatis, or hypostatic union. Get a good bible dictionary and look this up. And study your bible for the answers to these deep and profound theological questions. Good luck.

there are a lot of facts that support Jesus being the Son of God, and he really is. i could go into all of the reasons, but i recommend you read "know why you believe" by Paul Little, it is one of my favorite books and it has a whole chapter dedicated to proving that Jesus was the son of god. you might want to look in the bible, too. i'd say the evidence there is pretty convincing too.

OK, first of all, there is God. God had no body.
That's why we say God just is. He communicated to Adam and Eve, He also communicated to Moses, as the burning bush.
God's word assumed different forms. But God wanted His word made into flesh. This is why Jesus was born. Being half human, and half God, He was how God's word was made flesh, and walked among his people. God technically is His father, and not Joseph, who is his stepfather. Mary is his mother, and was impregnated by the Holy Spirit, and not Joseph, her betrothed. This was done before they were wed. This is how Jesus is the Son of God, and the word of God made flesh. After God's word was made flesh, you no longer heard of God communicating by means of bushes or anything else, because now God was among us.
