God picks a time in peoples lives to talk to them. Its really that God found them. It means that somehow God touched their life and they want to devote their life to him.

No, most of the people are not recovering addicts. There aren't anywhere near as many addicts as there are people who "find" God.

It's very common for recovering addicts to trade one addiction for another: coffee, smoking, gum, God, whatever works.

actually it is said in most of the religions that god is one and all of us are a minute part of god or god stays every where and even in everybodies body
so when people say that they have found god i think they mean
that they have explored and understood thier inner self in which god exists
