Interestingly and confusingly, I have heard a number of people say that Jesus is a prophet "but nothing more" or that they believe that Jesus was a prophet born of Mary etc. "but nothing more". How do you reconcile the things that Jesus said of Himself? Such as
"I am the way the truth and the Life, no one comes through the Father but by me." He also said "I am the resurrection and the life" when he raised someone from the dead. Most other prophets never claimed these things nor that they themselves were divine saying "before Abraham was, I am." How do you reconcile the attitude that even some of the Jews of his day had toward him, thinking that He was blasheming saying that He was God, etc? The Chief Priests, Scribes, Pharasees and Sadducess wanted to kill Him because He made Himself out to be God.

What do you do about that? Do you simply dismiss that and say that those parts of the Bible are false? How would you respond?

Was He a prophet, who spoke for God, or not?

Mostly everytime i look at the clock, at my watch or anything that tells time, i always see the time 11:11. Does anyone know if there is a spiritual, demonic, or witchcraft meaning to that time?

There are dangerous animals such as pit bulls, snakes and others then there are gentle animals such as goldfishs and cats. Is there a scripture(s) in the Bible for His creatures?

or hell etc. These are simple people living in remote areas of Africa, Asia, the middle East, Australia , many of them can't read and have never heard of the Bible. NO ONE has told them that they need to accept someone named Jesus in order to have eternal life in heaven.

My question is, are they damned anyway? They haven't made a choice NOT to accept Jesus, because they've never heard of him. Are they STILL going to hell? And if so, why?

Please note, this is a simple religious question. It is not a criticism or condemnation of any religion or cultural belief system. Religious scholars ask this type of question all the time in order to better understand all religions as well as their own particular one.

Why is it so confusing? I have read some past questions about it and I still can't seem to wrap my brain around it. Could someone explain it in simple terms (no copied articles). What do they believe? What are their pratices? Do they believe in heaven, reincarnation?

If a sinner is never right, always wrong; we're all sinners...then what's the point of the bible; what is God's plan. Why? Is there no end?

When Jesus came to earth, he had Disciples, and they all got along, and spread the same word. In fact the word "Church" actually means 'A group of believers gathered together in a building to praise, and worship the Lord'...So why then, can't we just get along? Why do we have to disagree about so many different things? If you look at all the different 'Religions', there are Hinduism Muslimism Buddhism, a few others, and they all are categorized in just on category, but when you look at Christianity, there are so many different branches. (Baptist, Catholic, and the list goes on....) Why?

If so why? the republican party tends to like war (bush in iraq), and are for the death penalty. these are clearly against gods ideals, for he wants peace. and as for the death penaIty truely believe only God has the right to take away life, since he is the only one who can give it.

This goes mainly to the non-believers. What will you do after the rapture happens? Try to live the rest of your life for Christ and put up w/ persecution? Or just give in like a coward to the devil??

Please, don't give me answers like "don't worry that'll never happen". I just want to know what is it that you'll do when it does happen, if it happens while you're still on Earth.

I want to be humble, down to earth and openminded, but everywhere I go, I have to deal with people that strive to be the opposite of that.

How do I completely let go of my ego and live without anger and negative emotions towards others?

If you are going to use the Bible as authority for justified killing then I assume, like the Muslims, you live by the Old Testament, believing - erroneously - that God instructs His own creation to slaughter His own image?
What the old partriarchs and Kings did was NOT God's sovereign will and God did NOT command anyone to kill their neighbour. What they imagined as instructions to destroy their enemies is what God permitted but Jesus issued no such command. "I have come to SAVE not to DESTROY"
God permits us to break His commandments but He does not COMMAND us to break His commandments. THis is the same then as it is today.
SO, those who use the Bible as a divine justification for war are in for a big surprise when they meet Christ.
