Thye right way to dispose of the Bible that can no longer be of use is to bury it in an area where people do not commonly use as walkways. You may probably bury it right beside for example a fence. It is more suitable than burning it besides you'll won't be adding more carbon molecules in the air.

I agree with whynotaskdon, Bibles are books and once they can no longer be of use they can be destroyed in any way. burning if you choose,.
But the same is true when one person said to take them to a goodwill of somekind.
Many churches will accept used bibles and have the reconditioned and donated to prisons or passed on to others.
The Bible is a written word which is alive and working on ht e spirit of those who read it.
it is capable of changing lives it passes on God's word and his desire for ethem who seek him.
Again it is only a book . "a very precious book , but still a book.
So let your heart be your guide.
May God speak to you in a way you can accept.

Like any other book. The Eternal, Ethereal Word of God touches our world and our heart through the printed page, but the paper, once it can no longer be read, is just paper.

If you cannot use them any ways...I think burning would be OK.
I do not know if you are a writing letters through the mail anymore, but you could decorate your letters with your favorite Bible verses...or journal...or wall decor
...but if they are unusable, burn them...
what do you mean by if the Bible can no longer be used, now I am curious...

Burn it or give it to a church to take care of. Sure it is just paper but because it is scripture it is sacred and should be disposed of respectfully.

Give honour to Whom honour is due. It's up to you. Could use it as a door-stop. The BIBLE is just Ink and Paper. The WORD of GOD (JESUS) is in there, and it take's the HOLY SPIRIT to give them WORD's LIFE. If you don't have the HOLY SPIRIT (Born-Again, SAVED) it's just Ink and Paper. It's up to you!!!! If you think you should burn it, then do. It's a ROCK through the HOLY SPIRIT, could use it a door-stop, it that don't offend you. I like BIBLE's laying around, yea it could even hold the Door to your HEART open, for JESUS to come in, EVERYDAY!!!! up to you!!! Ditto!!!

um, why can't they be used? if they are worn or whatever -- someone will still find use with them - homeless shelters - bus stations whathave you..... if they can be read - they can be used. Burning is acceptable for disposal of holy items - as is burying.
