Peter was weak just like most people. Haven't you ever let your best friend down, and wouldn't you if you thought your life was in danger? The Holy Spirit gave him and the others super-natural strength to be courageous and stand up to danger for Jesus.

He was a hot head readneck that didn't understand until the very end of Christs life and then after the resurection and at Penticost where he gained the Holy spirit. In other words he was human and he had to bang his head aginst the wall so many times before he understood

Some people take awhile to 'get it'. Peter was one of those people who did not see things even though truths were clear to every one else. Having an example in him allows others who are just as 'clueless' to not be so hard on themselves.

There is another example that men can do nothing good on thier own. But with God all things are possible. seek Gods spirit.

TOO bad a cULT picke him instead of JESUS as the leader of their church/business/cult.
