Proverbs 23:7 - "For as he thinks within himself, so he is."

If so, what help would you advise for those who might want to change?

Eve defies God in order to become wise. Having divine wisdom, she chooses to give an apple of wisdom to Adam. Why would a wise person choose to defy God?

Genesis:

2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

I'm not talking about agnostics. Atheism means that you know for a fact that there is no god without a possibility of being mistaken. How can anybody say that without any proof whatsoever. Because they feel like there's no God that means it's a fact?

How satisfied with creation was he?
#1: God says "it was good" after each of his labors, and rests on the seventh day, evidently very satisfied.
#2: God has to fix up his creation as he goes, and he would certainly not be very satisfied with the disobedience of that primordial couple. (funny thing that an omniscient god would forget things)

Subject: Hello, Satan.........

Message: nice to finally 'meat' you. Very funny story, sounds like all the missionaries that come to my door --- except I'm Jewish.

I know from physical evidence.

But you won't believe it. Sigh. Which makes you no different from anyone else.

Smile. You're normal.

JESUS DENIED DIVINITY

Mark 10:17-18 and Luke 18:18-19
These verses are most indicative of Jesus' position and real nature. The verse in Mark reads: "As he [Jesus] was setting out on a journey, a man ran up and knelt before him, and asked him, 'Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?' Jesus said to him, 'Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone." If you analyze this verse in truth you will see that Jesus, quite simply, is not God. If he was, why then would he say "No one is good but God alone"? Jesus did not want to be called "good" because he was not God. That title, as Jesus admits, belongs to none but God.

are liberals wrong, influenced by the enemy, going to hell, needing more Word/ enlightenment, or are they more in tune with the true and basic nature of Christ?
are fundamentalists wrong, too extreme, influenced by the enemy, needing more word or enlightenment, or are they the ones more in tune with Jesus?
Is there perhaps a spectrum somewhere on which we all fall as believers? is one right, and another wrong? are some better Christians than others? how about you, what makes you liberal or fundamental? OR, just so the question is open to everyone, how do you see others that believe?

Please do not read if you are not willing to discuss the subject of the establishment of Christianity.

I was just wondering what feelings it evoked in you when one considers that a lot of the practices of the church are based on pagan beliefs and rituals that long pre-date the arrival of Christianity; for example the east/west alignment of a body in a Christian burial and so many more that I could not mention them here in any great length.

I was just wondering whether or not this (proven, for those of you who are just here to cause trouble) recycling of religious beliefs and ceremony has any impact upon your perception of the church or whether it matters little.

NOTE: I say Church, the establishment, as opposed to Christianity, the faith.

This question is not meant to offend and I thnak you for honest, open-minded answers.

The Prophet Muhammad said in his Farewell Speech:

“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor does a black have any superiority over a white - except by piety and good action.”

And Allah has said in the Qur'an:

"O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honourable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware. [Qur'an 49:13]

At the close of the day, the whole of the labourers were mustered for payment of wages. Payment began with those who had come last. The early comers, looking on, imagined that as they had worked all day, they would get more than those who had worked only a part, although the contract was for one day's pay. When their turn came, they received what they had agreed for: but because the others had received an equal amount, they grumbled. Hearing their grumbling, the owner of the vineyard reasoned with one of them on behalf of the rest --

"Friend, I do thee no wrong. Didst thou not agree with me for a penny? .... Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own?"
