Yes we are aware....Unfortunately, many christians are guilty of what Jesus himself condemned. Holding to the letter of the law instead of the spirit of it. The old verse....They will know we are christians by our love......is falling by the wayside, as zealots thinking they are doing Gods work condemn everybody and everything thats contrary to their own belief system. More and more fundamentalists see only black and white where scripture is concerned. When we should be discussing gently the shades of gray. We can thank Jerry Falwell and others like him of the moral majority for this christian bigotry.

Jesus said I am here to separate the sheep from the goats. What do you think he meant by that? He also said that unless you hated your father and mother and brothers, you had no part in his kingdom. He said "I am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me". Those are all pretty exclusive terms. Salvation in Christ is possible to anyone who believes. Salvation in Christ is only for those who believe. He did not merely want "understanding". He wanted conformity to the will of the Father, just as it was His "food and drink" to do the Father's will. If anyone loves Him, that person should keep His commandments. That is what Jesus said. He is loving and merciful and gracious. But that is not to the exclusion of His justness and righteousness. You cannot separate those aspects of his character.
He is righteous and does have a standard. Let me ask, do you believe that Christians are wrong for seeking to live up to that standard and requiring those around them to do the same?

These Christians who claim they are following Christ, don't realize that they are failing miserably at it. They should ask themselves these questions. Would Jesus support Fundamentalist extremism or would he spread love and forgiveness? Would he dump on homosexuals, or would he fight for their rights as human beings? Would he picket abortion clinics, or would he comfort a woman in need of such a procedure? Would he be complaining about alcohol or would he be drinking it with his friends? In John 8:4 Jesus was brought a woman caught in adultery. Rather than condemn her, he forgave her and said the only people allowed to condemn her were the ones who had never sinned. No one condemned her that day. In John 4:7 Jesus encounters a prostitute at a watering well. Rather than judge her harshly for her sins, he asked her for a cup of water and gave her comfort for the mistakes in her life. And in Matthew 11:19 Jesus was called a drunkard for drinking wine in the homes of local crooks and thieves.

How can you say I am judgemental unless you are judgmental towards me. Your belief that we should not judge is not scriptural and falls under its own weight. Really, simply by saying what you said you are argueing with yourself. One should not pick which verses to heed and which to ignore. They all have meaning and we need to learn what was originally meant by them. Neither should one substitute their own meaning for that of the intent of the original writer. For example many people misuse the "judge not lest ye be judged" portion of Romans because they don't know what it means. Paul is telling them to share their faith with everyone even gentiles because none of us deserves salvation. The Jews were judgeing themselves superior because of their ancestry. Some of them deemed the gentiles as unworthy to hear the gospel. Paul tells them not to judge them as unworthy because we all are unworthy. It does not mean that we should not judge good from evil. 1Cor2:14-15 says The man without the spirit does not accept things that come from the spirit of God, for they are foolishness to himand he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgements about all things yet he himself is not subject to anyman's judgement. If you still think Jesus was just the original flowerchild please explain Luke 12:51 "do you think I came to bring peace on earth? No I tell you , but division." Jesus was the most divisive person of his time. Do some studing.

True Christians understand. But you got to remember Religion is man made so has man's flaws. Being judgmental is not what GOD wants but he does have a few Laws he wants obeyed. So when a Christian objects to your disobedience to God's law is he really being judgmental or is he following his belief? Without Laws no one is safe whether they are GOD'S or Man's.
The new Testament did not do away with the 10 Commandments only that we now have way to be forgiven that is 100%.

If we could live up to the example Jesus set we would not need his sacrifice; why even in this question's generalization there is judgement. All we can do is strive to be more like Christ everyday.

That's your opinion. and yours only. WHO are you to Judge what or how a Christian does what?
You have ZERO authority from anything, anybody, anyone, any God what-so-ever to even view a comment about Christians.
NOW... When you became a Christian and get the "Great Commission". come back, we'll talk about it.
until then. YOU my friend, have no say about a Christian or any of God's Words.
wanna Popsicle? It's cherry.

True God fearing Christians should not be judgemental. Sometimes they may seem to be, but they are just trying to witness so that you too may come to Christ.

Christians share the word of God with people. It is the word of God that judges people not the Christians that are obeying God by sharing His Gospel. Just because people do not like what they are hearing from the bible, they automatically hollar that they are being judged by that person who is sharing the word of God with them.
