Yes...there are, but not to that extent. There are spells and incantations and healing, but not as dramatic.

As a witch I can give you the real answer. Majik (how we spell it to seperate it from Vegas magicians) is real however not like in Charmed. Shows like that and the movies like Practical Magic, and such cause misconceptions.

What we practice is earth majik. We use the elements of the earth (earth, air, fire, water) to perform our spell work. Yes there are majik potions, but the big secret to them is they are teas made with specific herbs, or bath oils, or bath salts. The one thing that most people don't know or understand is that we are healers not wicked evil beings. Our majik is done for healing or other beneficial reasons, we even do work to help the earth.

For spells and such to work it requires many factors. The first is focus and intent. The person casting must be focused on the work and have a clear and specific intent in mind (like sending healing energies to a hurt friend). The other is for the recipient to be accepting of the energies and to believe in their power. That way they would be receptive. This actually applies for any religion including christianity. If someone was to "pray for me" and I don't want it, it would not work (especially since I don't believe in god). We don't fly on brooms or worship the devil (he is christian not pagan). We don't do sacrifice as our goddess does not require it and is against it. We revere life and all things living.

I have included a website that will give you oodles of info.

Although I haven't seen "Charmed," and at the risk of opening a proverbial can of worms, some believe the claim that supernatural "entities" or "beings" are able to influence or direct natural objects and/or phenomena.

These supernatural beings are known commonly as angels (genderless ministering spirits). Various theologies hold that there are "good" angels ("angels") and evil angels ("demons"); each is apparently limited to some degree, perhaps most significantly with respect to methodology.

Good angels are apparently prohibited from conspiring with man, but this limit does not seem to apply to evil angels. Regardless, the illusion that man directs angels is nothing more than that: an illusion -- and insubordination can be severely sanctioned.

Conspiracy with evil angels occurs at an intuitive level, and may (but not "must") be associated with ritual; the influenced object or phenomenon is typically limited to minor alterations in weather (for instance: a local wind of high intensity). Other limits include time and distance from the affected object or phenomenon.

Neither good nor evil angels seem willing to influence the orientation of another person's passions (i.e.: won't make another person 'love' you or 'hate' someone else), but may be willing to help you achieve elements of a strategy you think is designed to achieve such an end.

Assistance from evil angels ordinarily relies on the identification by the human of a specific task, the performance of which is "requested."

Assistance from good angels relies on the identification by the human of a need (which may be general or specific in nature) that is communicated to the deity directing such angels.

At its election, that deity then dispatches one or more angels to perform the commanded task; however, evil angels may thwart the timely completion of that task, and the deity directing good angels apparently relies on the "squeaky wheel" principle in deciding whether to send reinforcements.

I am not certain whether the ability to "harden (a person's) heart" is delegable by a deity; however, there are accounts of pre-existing personal passions being intensified by supernatural forces.

There are plenty of "magic" potions associated with voodoo. Most are ineffective; however, sophisticated practitioners are masters of mind control -- and with the assistance of "potions" can appear to have magical abilities.

Without knowing what you specifically intend, I can't further advise you.

I say yes, but not like you see on TV. Can you make someone smile? Can you help someone have a better day? Are you working to make the world a better place? If you say yes, then you, my friend, are practicing magic in it's purest and best form. By the same token, if you make someone sad, or angry, you are doing dark magic. It is that simple. You just didn't know you were magical, did you? Now smile for me....see, I have magic powers, too. :)

Absolutely. But, some magical powers are developed over time. Some people can use their power when they are young, and some people have to learn how to use theirs. Everyone has some magic ability, but most of them are not aware of it.

There are magic potions. Most of them are just remedies for colds, aches, and pains. You can learn how to make potions over time.

There are spells, but you usually have to learn spells from somebody else. There are people who can make their own spells, but that is a natural ability. I do not believve that people can just learn that.

I hope this helps you.

Ok ignore these people who cut and paste the bible. They are incapable of original thought.
Closest you can come to magic is looking in the eyes of the person who means more to you than anyone else in the world.
Having them feel the same way is really magic!

I think there is magic to an extent. Most magic is illusions and tricks. But some things could be possible...I don't really believe in potions or ABRACADABRA or anything though...

houdini himself offered a reward for anyone that could show him proof of true magic powers and eventually died with no answer...the closest thing to magic would probably be christian mirracles which are well documented....funny how voodoo/evil have never been proven but everyone wants to believe...yet there are some seriously well documented christian/good miracles but everyone seems to deny....maybe its only cool when its evil

MAGIC

MAGIC is a feeling!
Some plays, movies, ballets, operas are set in places that create beautiful illusions that are pure MAGIC!
MAGIC is what you feel when you fall in love!
MAGIC is what you are surrounded by when you walk in nature.

There are miracles!
There are wonders!
There is healing!

I have felt them all and witnessed them all.

God is very very good!

God's mysteries are unfathomable and exquisite!

Thanks for asking this question!

Love,
Lil
