Bringing peace, love, and harmony to this world is something that many Atheists aim for. However, having this liberal mindset has its disadvantages. Even if we were in a country that was entirely free from law and lived in anarchy, this gives room for man to have evil mindsets and dangerous views against humanity. The more freedom a country has, the more domestic problems occur. For example, I had a friend that traveled to a predominately religious place in Europe. He said that he felt safer there than in his own country. Why? Becuase there is too much room in America for rapers, murderers, robbers, drug dealers and uses, and other such crimes. These actions are due to the "I can do anything that I want to" in America idea. The only way to truly transform a person's mind into peace, love, and harmony is through a religion that upholds these things. You can not convince an atheist murderer that something is immoral without trying to explain to him the everlasting love of Jesus Christ.

Why do some hate and attack them so much? They use the bible and when I look things up their right. And many Churches are not following the Bible.

According to 1 Timothy 2:11-15

11 Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.

12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve.

14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

1 Corinthians 14:34-35

34 Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law.

35 And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.

What do you think is going to happen? Myself I am a believer in Christ Jesus and believe He is coming back. Do you think there is going to be an end or the world will go on forever? I'm not judging you nor do I want a debate. I was just curious?

is there are too many religions that believe in an afterlife and preach that this world is doomed. They preach faith in God's and prophets and kill each other trying to make their religion the order of the day. The rule in mass and use threats of eternal hell-fire-what a happy world they survive in creating "Hell on Earth". One can not see their Gods but these same lunatics will deny that the most beautiful sight that they have ever beheld is a picture of OUR MOTHER from a distance. Do they also fail to realize that she glows like a star from further away? It is my intention not to worship prejudiced beliefs as while we are alive "WE ARE ALL BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THIS TIME". and the only real salvation is for the world of intelligence to aknowledge that WE are the caretakers of LIFE-that we hold each others lives in OUR hands. I declare today that I am one man of many and will stiive in my life to leave THIS World a Better Place for my having been here. I hope to share this w/u!

People automatically assume an atheist to be a hardened cynic who has some vendetta against religion and/or all things good and moral. This question is rhetorical and designed to at least rid religious readers of these prejudices..

Religion is a learned behavior. Consider a young child who has not yet been taught of religion. Going by the real definition of atheist, (a- meaning without, theism meaning belief in a god or gods) would this child not be a defined atheist?

Consider a generous and perfect man who had never heard of religion before. This man is an atheist too, correct?

The choice is yours...condemn these people as evil and wicked like you do with other atheists or rid yourself of your prejudices.

I don't know who I am anymore. And the disease is affecting my mind, not just my body. I have a lot of years to live before I die, and I'm kind of floundering right now. Any ideas? I have no artistic talent, I'm a loner, I have tried but cannot write decent poetry, etc. Anything physical is no longer an option (unfortunately). I feel like I'm just taking up space, breathing in and out and waiting to die. Any suggestions?

Picture this: A man volunteers to help orphans on his off-days from work where he just found the cure for cancer last week. He saved a baby from a burning building on the way home from his work and then went home to his wife whom he honors and is faithful to even in thought. At dinner, he chokes on his food and dies.

Will this man go to heaven?

Does the fact that he is an atheist change your opinion?

So why do you all think there’s no God?...really i just cant understand it??? it cant be because of "smarts". to say you know there is no God is to say you know everything there is to know, right? if not, then wouldn’t you have to accept the possibility that God exists in the part of knowledge you don’t know? if you know 99% of every thing there is to know in the universe... couldn’t God exist in the 1% you don’t have/know?

i could go on about what i think the reasons are...but i wanna hear what you say...yeah you could go on about big bang, evolution, fossils.... but in the end...how do you know there is no God? and none of this "how do you know there is a God"...it dont matter how i know...cause you’re not gonna believe it...i know it, you know it...so lets get that outta the way.

i wanna know how you know for a fact there isn’t.

convince me that im stupid and that im wrong... afterall im still human...if im wrong... i wanna know
