hadenuf - I've lived on the eastern seaboard all of my life and have never seen one with windows from Conn. to Florida. Where are you from?

When you build as many Kingdom Halls as we do each year, you save money by not having windows, we do not waste money. The money we save in a year, with the amount of Halls being build, would more than likely pay for a Kingdom Hall.
Some of our Kingdom Halls world wide do have windows, the one I attend, in CA. does not.
Kingdom Hall Construction
During the service year, 2,340 Kingdom Halls were completed around the world. This represents an average of 195 halls per month, or just over 6 per day! Since November 1999 when the construction program in lands with limited resources began, 7,730 Kingdom Halls have been built. In many areas, once a hall is finished, meeting attendance soars and halls are soon filled to capacity.
Last year 2005, 247,631, became Jehovah's Witnesses and everyone of these had to change their minds pertaining to the false teachings that they had been taught, these were people that used their own Bible, King James, etc., 28,384 were from the United States.

Some of them do, I believe. I think it depends on location. They build the Kingdom Halls themselves and I think it cuts down on costs when they don't add windows, plus according to what I've been told, they used to experience a lot of vandalism (breaking windows) and theft, and the lack of windows certainly cuts down on that.

Ya know, I've always wondered that too. But I've noticed that in the newer buildings that they're putting up, they've actually started putting windows in! Maybe it's a control thing... not having windows. I don't know.

There's a Kingdom Hall around the corner from my house, and I have no idea why it has no windows.

Simple answer, the older kingdom halls do have windows but due to vandlism newer ones do not.

The one near me does also the one by my Aunts .If fact never saw one without windows. How did you come up with that?

They teach that the church is the people, not the building, so they don't work to beautify the buildings. They actually reguard it as a school, not a church.

The way they come around bothering people, they probably have no windows for fear people will break them. :D
