Hell yes! But if you dip the fork in spaghetti first, then scratch your back, it is not a sin. What church did you go to...everyone knows that! And it is a serious breach of ettiquette to wipe your fork on your tee shirt! Use your underwear instead...that is polite.

The act itself might not be technically sinful -- but it does display a lack of consideration for others who will use that fork in the future. Who wants to use a fork that someone previously used as a scratching rod?

So the act itself isn't a sin, but the lack of consideration behind it probably is.

No, it will be sin if you scratched your back with the fork and gave it to someone else to use without licking it and wiping it off on your t-shirt's armpit. Now that's sin.

No it not a sin but it is dirty. There is a way that God has provided so you will not have to worry about your sins. Christ died for you sins, He was buried and took your sins away and rose again the third day for you justification. If you believe that then God is not imputing your sins to your account. Even the scratching of your back with a fork. 2 Corinthians 5:19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

It's only a sin if you forget to bless the fork, say 3 hail Marys, and a hallelujah.

If you have not rolled in the mud or in the corn field, then no. But if you've been engaging in any questionable behavior, I would wipe...no, I would just get a clean fork.

haha! Oh I don't think any preist would call that "sinful" but it certainly is a lapse in personal hygiene. Get another fork. :)

haha it's gross sounding, but i dont know if its a sin. now, if you gave it to some one you hated after scratching your back with it, as revenge or something then maybe....
