well being a non-believer i live my life knowing that there are some things i will never have an answer for, like what happens after we die, but i prefer this way to believing a fairy tale. I think the world will end due to scientific causes (i.e. expanding sun, asteroid impact, etc.)

I am not technically a non-believer but I'll answer anyway... I do not believe in a specific God/Jesus/Mohammed/etc figure, but I do feel that our situation today is a result of something greater than chance. What is responsible for this? I don't know.
That being said, I do believe there will be an end but I think it will be more like a natural disaster or nuclear war type thing. My job is science related, so I tend to believe the science theory more than the Bible (ex. I believe in evolution instead of God making everything in 7 days). I believe many scientists have stated that the Sun can only go on for another 4.5 billion years, so technically there is an end at somepoint, if we don't blow ourselves up first with nuclear weapons.

Hinduism teaches that Vishnu (represents God preserving the universe) will come back in a final incarnation named Kalki. Kalki will bring balance back into the universe at the end of the Kali Yuga (the time we are now in). This is a long way off, though. And Hinduism does go on to say that the sun will grow larger, turn red, and consume the planets before imploding on itself and little by little the universe itself will be reabsorbed into God. Then, just as many times before, God will manifest another universe from Itself and the cycle will continue on (those souls that did not achieve moksha...liberation from samsara and unification with God...in the last universe will re-enter the new universe and keep working towards this goal). This is what Hinduism teaches and this is what I believe.

No I don't believe that Jesus is coming back. They have been saying that since the week that he died.
Will there be posers and imposters claiming to be Jesus reincarnate, yes, there always have been and will continue to be.
Do I think the world will continue forevever. Not forever. The sun will burn out in afew billion years. I think that man will reach a point where any moron can trigger mass destruction and someone will do it. Then we will probably only survive on a more primative level. Possibly mankind will evolve beyond our dependence on the physical body and the bonds of earth in a few hundred thousand years.

There is going to be an end of the world, whether or not it involves Jesus. In about three billion years the sun will explode and take the Earth. If Jesus takes us before that, then cool.
But after three billion years I think that humans will be extinct. It's longer than you think, and we're wasting faster than you think.
And I agree with ryno, that doesn't make sense.... but then again, he may just be full of it and think he's a good person =)

I am happy for you that you believe Jesus is coming back. If you take comfort in that, then good. :-)
I like some of his teachings, but I don't believe in the _divinity_ of Jesus. I don't think he is "coming back". I do think Earth will be ok for at least the next 5 or 6 billion years.....before our Beloved Sun goes supernova.

I believe in Jesus Christ but I do not think he was son of "God" although he may have been told and thought he was. I dont know whats going to happen or how we did happen. We are just going to have to wait and see.

Jesus (may peace be upon him) will come back at the end of this world. He will then tell every body what did he preached the people and what did they get.
We believe that Jesus (may peace be upon him) is alive and will be back and rule the world. His tenure will filter out all disbelievers. He will repeat his preachings that is islam.

Sheep, sheep, sheep. Most of the people so far.
The fact of the matter is you don't know, I don't know, no one knows for sure. You act like this little book is going to be your ticket to some after-life paradise. Not a single person on earth can say for sure what happens. But, if you want to keep believing your little book of fairy tales, to help you sleep at night, knock yourself out.
I am a good person, but because I do not read the bible, attend church, etc. I am going to hell? What about a guy who murders 5 people, but then "finds god" in prison? He gets into your "heaven" before I do? That makes perfect sense.
