I am just wondering why some people are so against Starbucks because I personally have never had anything against them. I have recently started working at Starbucks and my puzzled ness over why some people hate Starbucks so much has deepened. As a partner I know that they are truly committed to offering our customers the world’s best coffee and the giving finest coffee experience to their customers. They also treat me a million times better than all the other jobs I have had, and the benefits that I get are great! They truly do conduct business in ways that produces social, environmental and economic benefits for the communities in which they do business. They believe it’s possible to do well as a business and to do good positive things for the community around you at the same time. So please do enlighten me to the answer of my question :-)

According to what I've been learning from all parts, this phrase may be wiser than it seems at first sight.
Nowadays, the time where secrets and lies are often unveiled and views are wider thanks to culture and globality, is it really true and correct to the best of our knowledge and belief that according to nature human kind is made to live in the same couple for life? Or is it just thousands of years of customs? hmmm.. even if I've always been correct until now, I'm beginning to think it's a one million dollar question.
What do you think?

My "across the street" neighbors leave their house at all hours of the day and night.

They get in their huge SUV and drive away. 20 minutes later they come back, stay for exactly 35 minutes and do it again. Every single day, around the clock. No weekends, no holidays...

What could they possibly be doing?
Stores close. People sleep. ????

I'm not making this up!
I'm scared to ask, not that it's any of my business anyway. They seem friendly (normal) enough. It's an older couple with 2 grown kids. Their youngest just graduated college. They're quiet about it (leaving at all hours of the night), but not secretive at all.

I'm just really curious. The kind of curious that drives you crazy...
You can set your watch by these people.

Any and all ideas welcome!

Although many people in the Arab world, which includes the Middle East, tend to be anti-Western when it comes to American foreign policy and other related factors, I'm wondering how Arabs feel/think about one of the biggest things in entertainment- popular music. The big topic I'm talking here is how do Muslims feel about Western pop music, including American Top 40 hits. Here are the questions that I'm going to give you: What does the Arab world think about Western pop music? Do they play American hit songs on Arab radio stations? Do they air American/European music videos on Arab TV networks?

Dear God:
I know that I'm a sinner. I deserve Hell. But You sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again. I ask you now to forgive my sins, once an for all. I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Please come into my heart and save me, Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

Let me entertain this idea for a minute: considering it was black people in Africa who sold their own people to slave traders shouldn't black people be angry at fellow blacks for being the potential relatives of slave traders? Let's face it, the person who sells is just as guilty as the person who buys? Why is slavery always viewed as a white fault only? If the tribes didn't sell their own people their would have been no black slaves in America. Your thoughts...

OK. I go to a community college, and there are quite a lot of Chinese instructors in my school. Most of the classes they teach are very hard because they deliberately make the life harder. Their attitudes are like "you can't pass my class easily." Is it because the culture or political system that they grew up in made them work hard?

I'm just curious. My manager lives in the same apartment as I. I recently started working for her since last week of July. This is my first job (I'm 17). About three to four weeks ago, apparently, she revealed my application to several of our neighbors. Without getting into the details, basically, a terrible rumor spread about both my mother and myself.

The first day I started working for her she straight out told me, "I DO NOT like liars and you know, I don't associate with people at the apartment because they all gossip" ... and two minutes later she's judging the woman who's wearing a dress she thinks is ugly.

What makes this worse is that my mom talked to her. She wanted to know if she did it. She said, "No, I would never do such a thing" but having asked all the people here, they all say she did in fact show them my personal info.

Now, she keeps telling me, trying to defend herself, "I didn't do it. I would never do that" blahblahblah.

I was sitting in the baptismal service at church last night, and had an interesting idea. A couple weeks ago I went to a meeting for the Youth leaders of our church and we talked and watched a video about reaching young people in the new generation (the "Mosaics"). I also had just talked to my mom recently about what she calls the "Sesame Street Effect" which is the lower attention span, the ability, and necessity, to multi-task, and interest in things that would cause baby-boomers epileptic seizures. Also, I was inspired by the Weekend of Prayer in Lancaster, PA. On Saturday, the format for the most part was in each 2-hour set there was a worship team (musicians and singers), an MC who set the mood, and voiced the focus of the set, and a prayer leader who periodically spoke the word of God, either through inspiration or through the reading of scripture. So, here is the idea that came to me:

It was xmas, n I was out by the bar waitting for my bf 2 finnish work. With no1 else around that I knew I started chatting with this woman Kim. @ this point in time I had never really been around drunk people, n wasn't sure what to expect, so when Kim asked me to walk her to the bathroom I did. (I thought I was doing good by helping someone who couldn't walk a str8 line). Once I got her in2 the stall (it was very small), and was leaving... before I knew what was happening I was up against the wall (door locked) in a lip-lock with tongue, n her hands fighting to get my pants open. I'm told this was sexual assault, but I never mentioned the rest of the story. The rest is this. Once I could think I realised this could be my only chance 2 experience being with another woman, so I kissed her back, and dropped my pants for her (she was too drunk). She started 2 u know, but I ended it. Th@'s not how I wanted my 1st time (in a toilet with a drunk)! Was this still sexual assault?
